Adidas F50 adiZero in Anodized Purple Released

Leather adidas F50 adizero Anodized Purple

Adidas have released a leather version of the F50 adiZero in a very colorful Anodized Purple/Electricity/Infrared colorway. It seems that this week is Adidas week, with several high profile updates hitting the market, including the same colorway being released in Prime version. In terms of this release in the regular adiZero range, you have the option of choosing between a synthetic or leather upper. This post focuses on the leather upper as I deem them to be a better option in terms of touch and general performance.

Having tested the leather F50 adiZero, I can tell you that they offer great performance and touch on the ball. Adidas use a full grain Galeo cow leather upper that is soft, but not quiet the quality of K-leather. You can tell where it starts by looking for the first line of stitching on either side of the boot. To be more specific, on the left boot it runs from the top lace on the inside of the cleat to the third lace on the outside of the cleat. I would say approximately 50% of the upper is leather, focused on the front of the boot, where you are going to need it most. Adidas also use stitching that runs right across the leather to create a pocketed cushioning.

I can assure you that these boots feel ultra light to wear. They weigh in at 6.0oz, which is slightly heavier than the Primes, but to be honest you are not going to notice much of a difference! Just like Lionel Messi, I prefer the leather over synthetic version although not quiet this colorway! The colors used are very bold and overall it is not quiet my cup of tea, but if you are looking for a lightweight, exuberant boot with great touch, these are a good option!

The Synthetic upper is also available at soccer.com.

  1. Wow, Adidas certainly made a mess of the leather versions by not matching up the colour of the leather to that of the synthetic. The two shades of purple along with the blue soleplate combine for a real eyesore. Poor stuff.

    • They messed up both versions. By putting that terrible array of colors on both them.

I'm all for bright colors, and doing something different, but you have to still have some sort of class to it. These, do not have that. If a person wants a pair of boots that look like this, that's what MiAdidas is for.

But these will probably still sell. Mainly due to the fact they are outrageous. Young players will want these. Don't really know why. Ha. The orange warning versions are just as bright, but still have a little bit of class, and are put together very well.

  2. If this color combination is appealing to your eyeballs, then you must likely have no taste and or you are just swagger negative.
