Nike Vapor VII Safari Giveaway!

Safari Vapor VII detail

Funny story – someone pointed out to me on the SC101 Facebook page yesterday that I currently had 2 pairs of Nike Vapor VII’s and I should give one of the pairs away. Well, after thinking about it for a minute or two, I worked out that he was completely correct! I currently have a pair of Vapor VII in Red Plum and a pair in the Safari design.

With that in mind, I posed a question on Facebook last night – which pair would you prefer for giveaway? The majority voted for the Nike Vapor VII Safari design – so they are now up for grabs!

To Enter the Giveaway:

  • Leave a comment below, quoting your favorite line from any SoccerCleats101 review, including the reason why it is your favorite quote. You can select any review and the reason you choose the quote is completely up to you (for example: you like the boots, found the line humorous, want a pair because of the quote…etc.)
  • I will select the top 5 comments on Thursday, and they will then go up for public vote – with readers deciding who the winner should be by Friday night!

AND finally, if I am convinced that there are enough entries in the giveaway, I will offer up a prize for 2nd and 3rd place also!

If you have a question or query about the giveaway, please email [email protected] rather than commenting below and I will get back to you with an answer!

Rules are simple:

  • One entry per person and open to US/Canadian residents only.
  • Comment entries open until Thursday at 7pm PST.
  • Top 5 selected will then go up for voting, with the winner decided by Friday night at 7pm PST.
  • Winning pair are in a size 9US and were previously used for testing (but in excellent condition).
  • SC101 has final say on everything to do with the giveaway.
  • (Oh, and the guy to thank for the giveaway would be Brian Okazaki!)

  1. "Even though much has been said about Beckham’s decision to play in the US, the England midfielder is sure to be on a plane to South Africa next summer and he will be wearing some version of the Predator X!" -http://www.soccercleats101.com/2009/10/26/adidas-predator-x-released-our-review/

you were implying he would be playing, right?

  2. "The bonus lies in the fact that you are buying one pair of boots for both surfaces instead of two!"
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/07/19/adidas-

Before i read this i was on whether to get a new a pair of firm ground or soft ground cleats then i read this!

  3. "I have had the extremely unique looking boot in testing since they arrived last month in a size 9.5US and here is how they worked out." -http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/07/nike-mercurial-superfly-iii-safari-review/
this is my favorite quote because it shows me that you wear same size boot as I do, and if I get this pair it would fit me perfectly. : ))

  4. "One of the main problems with the Superfly II is the fact that the technology hampers the performance. You need a few weeks of breaking in before they are ready to play in. But the opposite is true of the Miracle. And in my opinion, comfort and performance are far more important than technology!" http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/04/28/nike-me

I could only agree. Superior comfort outweighs technology in the long run.

  5. Many players suffer problems around the mid area of the sole plate, but Nike offer a nice wide fit to accommodate most players. -http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/05/25/nike-vapor-vii-review/

I like this quote because I'm one of those players and by getting these, you will make two very sad feet fell like as if they got touched by gods finger. 🙂

  6. OH SH*T BRIAN OKAZAKI? Is he a teenager? Cause I know a guy that has the exact name!

Oh yeah my quote would be, "Oh, and the guy to thank for the giveaway would be Brian Okazaki!"

Cause I'm pretty sure I know him. He goes to my school, was in few of my classes, and I've played soccer with him (short time, but yeah!)

I'm going to email you asking about him, i wanna be sure if it's him.

    • I just checked facebook and I see that he is indeed the Brian that told you that you had two vapors… GOOD JOB BRIAN!!

  7. http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/20/nike-me

"I like the fact Nike has stuck with a well built upper that offers some protection instead of focusing on lowering the overall weight of the boot."

I really liked this quote because this is how I think about the vapors, and how you said it was perfect. I got the vapor IV over the adizeros because of this fact, and I really hope that Nike doesn't destroy the mercurial line (so I've heard) because I love these boots.

  8. "One other negative, if you decide to wear white socks with these you will regret it afterward as the color in the leather bleeds (my socks are now a mix of red/yellow) http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/03/07/pantofo

Perfect! A cleat that not only helps you score goals but will also give you a fashion makeover if your not careful! Oh those cheeky Italians!

  9. "I love the Lightning White/Radiant Pink/Cyan colorway that I tested. They would actually go pretty well with something Captain America would wear! "

  10. "The idea is that when you apply pressure to the front of the cleat, the inner red stud extends out and allows for extra traction when you swivel. There are two adaptive studs on each cleat. After testing, this is more noticeable on grass surfaces than on turf fields. Does it actually work? It is difficult to say. You actually can’t get the adjustable studs to extend without wearing them…" http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/04/07/nike-me
I think this is funny and just kind of sad of nike's part, because no one has ever proved this technology works and many pros (including C. Ronaldo) choose their own customized soleplate without the adaptive studs!

  11. "They feel strong and secure, yet they are superlight to hold. Kudos to Adidas for pulling this off!" (adipower review) http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/11/adidas-

I just love the word Kudos! It just kind of sounds funny and it isn't used very often. Plus I think the new Adipowers are wonderful!

  12. "Anytime I wear a pair of Adidas adiPure boots, I feel like I am playing in the 60′s or something!" http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/01/15/adidas-

I feel the same whenever I put on my adipures as well (opposite players in their flashy vapors or predators). Adipures for the Win!

  13. "When I finally got these boots into a game, it didn’t take long to find out exactly what they are designed for; POWER!"

The line is both impactful and funny.

  14. One of the most commonly asked questions about the Copa is “How do you wear the tongue?”

Why did I choose this quote? Because you are talking about the most iconic boot in soccer history. Everyone knows the Copa, even if you are boot fanatics like most of us who visit this site. A boot that hasn't changed in decades. Theres not a weekly color change option in slime green or plum, its black w/ white…thats it. And then you bring up a hotly debated topic, how do you wear the tongue? Back in the day this question could be general to almost any boot you had, now its next to impossible to even find a boot with a fold over tongue. Alot of kids these days will never have to ponder this question because its not an option. How did I wear my tongue you ask? Lace up the boot just a bit pass the half way mark, fold down the tongue super low, continue lacing up to the top. My tongue was down to wear the laces started. (O.G. status)

  15. it acctually well with what captain america would wear i think it's so true

  16. "By the end of training, plus with some extra tape, they looked just like this. Basically, the soleplate snapped off right around the front blades – ouch! Needless to say, they went straight into the trash bin."
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/12/jako-cl

I found this quote funny, its terrible that this happened to the cleats but i think it would be somewhat comical. Also its helpful to know never to buy Jako cleats, not that i planned to in the begginning.

  17. Brianna Gasgonia

    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/01/25/nike-ti

"If you are on the market for a no-nonsense cleat that will give you great support and performance at a decent price, these might be ideal for you."

I was in a Nike outlet store and saw that the Tiempo Legends III were on sale for about $40 and the only things I knew about the cleats were that the price was amazing and they looked extremely classy. I googled a review of cleats and yours was the first to come up. That line made me buy them. Though, for me the price was quite a bit better than decent!

  18. "Adidas have taken the upper of the adiPure, made it lighter, and mixed it with the lightweight adiZero soleplate to produce a boot that incorporates the best of both worlds! You can tell by looking at the leather that it is of the highest quality and I just love the small creases that run right around the boot."
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/05/13/adidas-

Love this quote about the adidas adiPure IV SL, because you describe's the perfect mix between adiPure and adiZero! I also like, how carefull you are with your reviews by telling us about the quality of the boot. Best of both worlds!

  19. First off i would like to say that i love your website. 🙂
"I say unfortunately because this means we are in store for more crazy colors in the future. I am a fan of more subtle colors"

(you said this when you were talking about the violet/orange vapor VI)
I TOTALLY FEEL YA. i also dont like the crazy colors that they use today either and definitley think they are going to be more crazy until your eyes hurt !! 🙂
P.S. this is going to be the best b-day present for my little cousin. Hes going to be 11.
if you have read this until this point, THANK YOU FOR THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY! 🙂

  20. "Anytime I wear a pair of Adidas adiPure boots, I feel like I am playing in the 60′s or something!" http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/01/15/adidas
i bought adipure 3 and it made me feel the same way, the touch it gives you and design are to die for. funny quote btw!!

  21. Pele Sports 1970 Review:
"Trust me when I say that if you get your hands on a pair, you will spend time holding them to get a taste for the feel!"

-You actually made me think about licking these boots to get that feel…

  22. Jonah Harrington

One area where Nike have really excelled in the past few years is delivering boots tailored to specific players on the pitch, and the new CTR360 Maestri II again fits the playmaker mold

Nike makes the best cleats hands down everything is better with nike

  23. “The look, fit and performance matched with one of the lightest boots on the market produces what can only be described as a dream boot!”

    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/05/13/adidas-

Oh, so I’m not the only one that dreams about boots. Thank God!

  24. "Adidas have mastered the art of creating a boot that is game ready right off the bat."
    -Adidas adiPure IV http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/01/15/adidas-

This is why I love Adidas and never wear anything else.

  25. "It is unlikely that any boot actually makes you faster, but it does offer the right mix to give you every advantage possible. I found that while wearing them, I psychologically felt faster, whether I actually was or not is up for debate! "

Look good, feel good, play good. You nailed it here.

  26. "The other negative is the fact that Mizuno have not entered the US market – making the boot extremely difficult to get your hands on."

This is from the Mizuno Wave Ignite review. This negative is huge for all Americans and I think if Mizuno would come to America they would have a huge market. Having to pay that extra shipping is a real downer. Hopefully Mizuno will make the marketing decision and soon cause I need some new boots

  27. "Before starting this review, I want to pay full respect to those affected by the recent earthquake, Tsunami and current nuclear issues in Japan – you are in our thoughts and prayers." – Mizuno Morelia review

That disaster was a terrible time for Japan. Good to see props in a review during that tough time. Also good to see J-League up and playing again, even if they have double duty.

  28. http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/06/06/adidas-

Does the adizero actually feel lighter?

"Without having to think about it the answer is “YES.” When I took these out of the box for the first time they blew my mind!"

I chose this quote because it perfectly displayed the difference between the F50 i TUNIT than the Adidas F50 Adizero. When the adizero first came out, I also was speechless at too how light it was!

  29. The one major positive about these boots is that they break in extremely easily.
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/20/nike-me

This is what got me interested in the vapor line again. In previous encounters, i've noticed and felt how long and uncomfortable the break-in period is with mercurials.

  30. "But the winner is…..

    Kevin Chung said:
This is so simple guys. The answer is right in front of us and Bryan gave us all the clues we need. “I stole them from myself and hid them in LA”? They are way too dangerous to just “stow it away” so he must have handled it with great care. So I’m guessing it’s in the Jet Propulsion Lab and the NASA scientists are trying to figure out the physics behind the Wave Ignite and the Mukaiten panel. I still can’t figure out how to make it work by the way…

All to true my friend, the technology in these bad boys is pretty dangerous. Kevin – your job is to test out the Wave ignite and send me a full breakdown on the physics behind them!"
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/01/10/mizuno-

I think this is self explanatory and it;d be great to see a post like this again hahahha XD

  31. One company we hear little about here in the US soccer market is Reebok, and having tested the Reebok Instante Pro I am starting to get an understanding of just why!

I like this comment because Reebok has never impressed me and I'm glad someone agrees, plus it was a pretty nice jab.

  32. Looks like
    sizes are starting to become
limited, and only a few days left
    (2) – but the Tiempo legend deal
    is till up and running

it was aq great deal but my nike tiempos are to small like you said sizes are running limited.. My size is limited now they dont fit me and they are starting to rip so it would be great if i tried a new pair of boots. All my life ive only bought tiempos but is time to upgrade to some new

  33. The combination of lightweight with a super soft K-Leather upper matches exactly what I require in a boot! At 7.0oz, they don’t challenge the lightest boots on the market – but in my opinion that is a good thing.
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/05/13/adidas-

To me, this review read my mind. I had been looking not only for confort, but lightness in a boot and the new adipures have them both. The classic look of the adipure also makes it an elegant cleat, for that player, like in my case, just like a simple touch to things. The black cleats never run out of style, elegance, and these shoes are not the exception.

  34. Giovanni trombetta

I absolutely love the design of these boots. One of the things I really like is the black stripe that sits between the red and white areas. It adds a completely different look to the and in my opinion it is what makes them really stylish. The challenge red color almost has a metallic finish to it. Under the lights, they have an unusual shimmer that allows them to stand out. I have found through feedback that some people like the white Nike tick that has been added along the front of the boot. Personally, I like it and think it goes well with the overall look.”
    Nike Mestri II

Everything about this boot oozes class…. Your description just magnifies the passion made into creating this unique boot for some of the worlds best… I bought myself a pair and I am 150% satisfied with what I got.. A boot with comfort, makes passes to almost beautiful perfection and the look just oozes masterclass all the way! FORZA!!!

  35. 'One of the best ways to improve your game is to simply jump in games wherever you can find them'
-this is so true, this is how I grew up playing soccer, random soccer games against mexicans..

  36. "Holding a pair, it is hard to comprehend the fact that they fall into the power category, but I can tell you after testing that they have everything that you could require and more." http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/11/adidas-

When you said this, I made my decision to buy these things of beauty. Thank you Bryan!!!

  37. "To sum up, I have to say that not only is the Adidas Predator X my choice for ‘Surprise cleat of the year’, but it will also fall into the ‘Best Release of 2009’ category! Not only do these cleats look good, but they also offer great comfort and quality"
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2009/10/26/adidas-

This was my favorite quote because it led me to chose these cleats for the best season of my life! This year i was going to start for the varsity team as a freshman. I had always been a nike person, but they just weren't getting the job done. i was freaking out about everything to about being on the team. i read this review and made my choice and it was the right one! Amazing season, and it was all thanks to you!

  38. "if you want the total Ronaldo experience, you will have to fork out big dollars!" http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/07/nike-me

This means that i won't have to fork out the big dollars! I can save some $! THE BEST!

  39. http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/12/28/nike-ctr360-maestri-ii-elite-review/
Personally, I like it and think it goes well with the overall design

Your description on these boots just exemplify the absolute class of it. Everything about this boot just oozes masterclass… It truly shows why these boots are made for some of the worlds greatest and this quote exemplifies this better than anyone else on the Internet… I decide to get myself a pair based on your review and I’m fully 150% satisfied with my coup… Now i truly understand what you mean when you say it has a metallic glimmer under the light. I’m in love with these boots from the comfort to the design that ultimately tops off this boot with absolute masterclass

  40. Nike CTR360 Maestri II

“On field, these boots work out exactly as you would expect – and better!”

This quote makes the cleats seem like if they do all the work for you without any mistakes. All you need to do is put them on and then the cleats would do the rest for you. When Andres Iniesta scored a goal in the 2010 FWC Final it was because he had control within his cleats because he was wearing Nike CTR360. Also Maestri is Italian for Master which means that you are in control of the beautiful game.

    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/12/28/nike-ct

  41. Don’t mind my first comment I forgot to put the link and I wasn’t finished talking about the quote/ cleat

  42. Regarding the Greek Jako Cleats:

"The final verdict: completely avoid them!!"

This is by far the greatest closing comment in the history of this site.

  43. You only have to take a look at the players wearing these (Cesc Fabregas, Landon Donovan, Andres Iniesta) to see exactly what type of player they are designed for.
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/12/28/nike-ct

That is why Ctr360 is my favorite boot those 3 players have control like no others

  44. "They felt that Violet stood out more than any other color on a green pitch, giving it the added benefit of allowing other players to notice you more easily thanks to your cleats. Does it work? Unfortunately it does,"

I love this quote. In the modern game flashy shoes are cool, but the classic all black kangaroo leather shoes of the past are now dying out. Shoes these days are built with more gimmicks than ever. I love this quote based on the fact that you showed how much you disliked wearing purple Vapor VIs, even though apparently they helped your game.

  45. "…And finally, the insert used is 100% Diego!"
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/12/14/puma-ki

I found this line to be a great way of showing just how dedicated Puma was to making a boot that was all about Diego, and for Diego. The whole boot is marked with badges, buttons, his signiture, the number "10", and other features that symbolize Maradona. By saying, "The badge is 100% Diego made me feel that Puma went as far as they could in representing him in is boot!

  46. "Kick outs will also be easy to drive straight down the field. Defenders will have the advantage of complete protection, and the opportunity to knock quick long balls at speed as will the ‘Kaiser’, or hard hitting center midfielder." http://www.soccercleats101.com/2009/03/06/concave

This is my reason to buy this shoes. 🙂

  47. "From their unique old school look to the smell of handcrafted leather, you almost feel like you are entering an0ther era"
    -pantaflon d'ore red

i like how it shows the way the shoes look and feel, but more importantly it tells you the feeling you get wearing them. I also like the fact you accidentally used a zero instead of an "o"

  48. "Lets say you walk into a dealership this week and you have to buy a car before leaving. The salesman walks up to you and says “Hey, would you like to buy this fantastically, awesome, brand new state of the art Toyota Prius that does 50 miles to the gallon and has all the add-ons you want, with the exception of working brakes as there have been slight problems with making sure they work properly……or would you prefer to purchase this slightly more modest looking Honda Civic that does a decent 25 miles to the gallon, is fully functional in all the necessary departments and has breaks?” Which car are you going to choose?"
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/03/25/uhlspor
    (Uhlsport Kickschuh Instinkt Review)

(Read reply to see explanation, it's too long :P)

    • My reasoning behind why I like this quote is because it is a fantastic analogy on the differences between new and reliable. This quote speaks to me individually because I wore the T90 laser iii last season, and that boot is full of technology. This is where I opened my parents eyes into soccer cleats, so they assumed the more technology = better cleats. This season, I decided that i wanted the Adipure IV, a dependable, relaible and comfortable boot. As my parents didnt understand why I wanted a plain leather boot, I used this quote to explain differences in cleats. They understood after that 😛

      • Whoops, sorry use the first explanation, I posted it and it didn't say that it posted, sorry haha

  49. "Ensuring you have the right size is critical to getting the most of the F50 adiZero, if you can get it right you will be very happy with them."
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/03/03/adidas-

I thought it was kind of funny how you kept saying since you had the right size they broke in quick. I find that depending on the cleats it takes longer to break them in and when they are broken in they're great!

  50. Alejandro Martinez

Finally, I actually like the colorway that offers a modern look without being too “in your face”.
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/02/puma-v1-11-released/

I liked this because I bought the V1.10 in the blazzing yellow and chilli red colorway, and those were “IN YOUR FACE” and they were nice but it seemed like the colorway was too attention grabbing and caused people to hit me more. But the new ones are great!

  51. "I love the Lightning White/Radiant Pink/Cyan colorway that I tested. They would actually go pretty well with something Captain America would wear!" http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/04/13/adidas-

Brian, sometimes I truly "Marvel" at your reviews. Thanks for all the work you do! Soccer players everywhere consider you to be a real super hero!

  52. "Thankfully for professional players, they can change every week and don’t have to worry about a season’s wear."

I think everyone on here wishes this was the case for them!

    Thanks Brian Okazaki!

  53. This is my favorite quote:

” I currently had 2 pairs of Nike Vapor VII’s”

This is my favorite quote because it means you’re giving one pair away.

  54. "Seeing as this is the fourth release in the adiPure range, and the other three release have been super comfortable, I took a chance and decided not to spend time slowly breaking them in."

Wait… We're supposed to slowly break boots in? Wow because my last pair i ordered online, and they came in while i was in a game for my local high school, so my dad drove over in his 1995 toyota pick up and gave them to me… IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GAME. I wore them, and ended up with a hat trick lol. SO i chose this quote because, its a good piece of advice next time my dad brings over some new boots, i'll try to run slower in them! lol

    I NEED THESE CLEATS!!!! BADLY!!

  55. "As reference, X-static is a fiber that is antimicrobial, all natural, heat transfer, anti-static and has therapeutic benefits." – Adidas adiPure IV SL

This is referring to the stitching around the boot. I love the part about how the fiber offers therapeutic benefits.

  56. "As always, Adidas are full of surprises."
    Its funny because they are.

  57. The front cover plate looks like something from a science fiction movie, so it has to do something special, right?
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2009/03/06/concave

Ha this quote was hilarious and I don't think every think from a science fiction movie was special, haven't you ever seen Robot monster- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8h2QJ44HnrM&fe… lol!

  58. "Adidas push the boundaries with every aspect of this boot, so they easily qualify as technologically advanced."
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/04/13/adidas-

Why is this my favorite quote? Well for one Adidas makes the best quality in shoes. Second I love these cleats. And third that is what soccer is all about pushing the boundaries. Soccer is a simple game, it is meant to be fun, competitive and keep everyone entertained. It is all about simplicity and pushing the limits. For example why was Spain the World Cup Champions? They played simple soccer while pushing it to the limit. If you play soccer with simplicity and explosiveness you will win the game. Fancy moves look nice but how often are they effective when a simple pass could do the trick. Soccer is a beautiful sport, and it is kept that way with its simpleness. So pushing the boundaries in every aspect shouldn't just be applied in soccer, but in life as well. When people say soccer is a matter of life and death, they are wrong. Its more than that. This is why that is my favorite quote.

  59. "The Create has the extremely beneficial modular protection zone (MPZ), that absorbs shock and offers impact protection for the foot. This is something that was interesting to me as I know how prominent foot injuries have become in the game. Think of David Beckham before the 2006 World Cup."

I like this quote because you used an example of how an ankle injury can affect a player and was able to use the example to justify a positive for the cleat. The quote is even better because of the typo. Beckhams ankle injury kept him out of the 2010 World Cup, not 2006.

  60. "Unfortunately it does, this information comes from most of my teammates who said that you can’t help but see the cleats when they look up the field. This is especially true when playing games under lights. (I say unfortunately because this means we are in store for more crazy colors in the future. I am a fan of more subtle colors)"

this is from the "mercurial vapor VI review"

This quote is COMPLETELY true. When i first read this review ( I did buy a pair of these by the way) i just laughed at that. but there was some light at the end of that tunnel. now there are boots thats have every color of the rainbow like the f50 adizero primes. Although i like the colors because they really do stand pit. but now you can get a pair of new cleats in any color you can imagine now-a-days.

  61. ":So, I got a bag of soccer balls, grabbed my goalkeeper buddy Bryan Hill, and headed out to a local soccer pitch to see what damage I could do!" http://www.soccercleats101.com/2009/03/06/concave

I like this quote, because this is my favorite thing to do with a brand new pair of boots!

  62. "I say unfortunately because this means we are in store for more crazy colors in the future. I am a fan of more subtle colors"
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/03/30/nike-me

I picked this quote because i really hate alot of the nike and adidas colorway choices. Im just saying men shouldn't wear pink or purple or even light blue. And i dont understand why nike/adidas would design cleats for grown men and young guys that are these colors. My personal opinion is the guys who decide the colors for cleats should be fired. Because i dont think this crap about it makes people pass you the ball more is enough to make everyones cleats look retarded. It's probably also a fact that if your the loudest person on the field that people will pass you the ball more but i haven't seen nike or adidas sell microphones with their cleats. It's also probably a scientific fact that if your the biggest person on the field that people will pass you the ball more but nike doesnt sell HGH with their boots. So i hope you pick this comment so i can have a normal color pair of boots not any of the ballerina boots the pro players dance around in.

  63. You were talking about the adidas f50 adizero prime

"I love the Lightning White/Radiant Pink/Cyan colorway that I tested. They would actually go pretty well with something Captain America would wear!"
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/04/13/adidas-

I find it funny because I actually dressed up as Capt. America for halloween last year…but i wish I wore the adizeros to top off the outfit. hahahaa!!

  64. "Having broken in the boots and wore them in 4 games up to this point, they are one of the best soccer cleats I have worn."

I was debating wether to get adiPure IV SL and the new adipower but once I read this I am definitely getting a pair of the adiPures because if its one of the best shoes you've worn they must be good given that you try a lot of these shoes. I can't wait to get my own pair.

  65. “Kuddos to adidas for pulling this off!”
    Adipower review

Its my favorite quote because not many guys say the word kuddos
Also the review helped me decide on what boots to get

  66. There are several aspects of the Wave Ignite that should excite players looking for something different, including the Mukaiten Panel and the 360 Bio Vamps. http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/11/14/mizuno-

Made me want to get these! I got mine a week ago and love them!!

  67. "Finally, one Mr. Fernando Torres changed back to the Total90 LaserII for last weekends Premier League game, where he scored his 50th goal for Liverpool. My question is, what was up with the Laser III that persuaded Torres to go back to the original pair. Very unusual!" http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/01/10/nike-to

This was great because 2 weeks later he goes to chelsea wearing the Laser III and goes on his infamous goal drought. You called it Bryan, there really was something up with the cleats that was affecting his game.

  68. "The look, fit and performance matched with one of the lightest boots on the market produces what can only be described as a dream boot! And even though they are limited edition, the exclusivity factor only adds to their charm."

I picked this quote because it is reason why i decided to get the adipure sls instead of ctr 360s. I usually do not wear adidas but the way you mad these sound with such a positive review really made me want them. They are quote "a dream boot" just like you said.

  69. "just oozes class"
    Too many to name
I like this quote because it is one of the most used lines that you use when you review new cleats, especially leather ones.

  70. Symon Pallasigue

"I like the fact Nike has stuck with a well built upper that offers some protection instead of focusing on lowering the overall weight of the boot."

  71. "In terms of fit, you are going to be glad to hear that they will suit anywhere from a medium to wide fit!" – adiPower Predator review. I like because form many reason, one being that I have wide feet, and SC101 definitely knows what they are talking about because my last pair of Nikes were tight! :O ….ahem…ehm*…..U GUYS ROCK!

  72. "There is nothing like getting a new pair of boots you know have been handcrafted in the same fashion their creators have been doing it for over 100 years" http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/03/07/pantofo

This is my favorite quote because you're absolutely right at the end of the day old school beats new school. I rather have a boot that is gonna last me a long than a "lightweight" flashy boot that is gonna last me a day worth of soccer. i rather buy adidas world cups or pantofola d'oro than nike or adizero

  73. "… I felt like the 1970 played its role, but at times I wanted a little more from them."
From the Pele Sports 1970 review. -http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/08/09/pele-sports-1970-review/
I liked this quote because it was ambiguous; talking about the pele boots, but also the decade of the 1970's.

  74. "You only have to take a look at the players wearing these (Cesc Fabregas, Landon Donovan, Andres Iniesta) to see exactly what type of player they are designed for." http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/12/28/nike-ct
It made me think of getting the cleats and also made me think of changing the way I play.

  75. T90 Laser III Review: "First offis the addition of five red ‘pods’ that sit right along the strike zone. "
First, there is a typo. I'm sure you meant "First off is…"
Second, I have one of these cleats in blue and white and they are the sexiest cleats I have ever used, but I completely agree with your review that they are hard to break into.

  76. Herberth Romero

"You only have to take a look at the players wearing these (Cesc Fabregas, Landon Donovan, Andres Iniesta) to see exactly what type of player they are designed for." http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/12/28/nike-ct….
It made me think of getting the cleats and also made me think of changing the way I play.

  77. "Right now, Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best soccer players in the world."

I thought that this joke was really funny! But in all due seriousness, I thought that the review for the Safari's (the cleats you are giving away) was interesting and informative. I agree that Ronaldo is very technically skilled, but he is not quite as good as Messi.

  78. "After listening to many of you questioning the durability of the Adidas F50 adiZero stud over the past few months, I finally experienced the issue to a pair I was wearing. To test out many of your concerns, I have continued to wear the adiZeros over the past few weeks."
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/08/19/adizero

This is probably one of the most useful quotes I have read online. I was deciding between getting F50s or the CTRs and had been leaning towards the F50s. Though I had heard a few rumors from people about the F50s being unreliable I had just assumed that those complaining had played on a poor surface or had recklessly used their cleats. Once I saw your update I decided the F50s weren't worth the risk and got my CTRs. I figured if an online reviewer (who knows how to correctly use cleats) had a problem, then the problem was prevalent enough to be serious. During that soccer season 3 of my 7 school teammates who bought F50s experienced stud issues and were extremely unhappy with their cleats. And the CTRs were brilliant.

I also find it so lucky that I am a size 9 US. =) I usually wear 9.5 cleats (my old CTRs) but my current cleats (beaten cherry Vapor VIs) are size 9 US because Vapors run larger than other cleats. I am usually embarrassed about having size 9 feet because they are small but maybe it will finally be a good thing.

  79. "Nike has added a bright illuminated yellow color to the very unique blade/stud combo. Other than that, you are getting a clean looking design that doesn’t scream ‘look at me’!" http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/01/25/nike-ti

With some new crazy colorlines in soccer cleats like the new adizeros, its nice to know that there are some boots that are keeping it classic.

  80. "while maintaining touch and feel on the ball" http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/02/16/puma-po

    I chose this quote because,
I love it when you get that touch and feel you get on your balls.

  81. I wanted to look for your best quote and ended going through almost all of your boot reviews. Unlike any other website i have found, you explain all the details that a player wants to know each in every boot. All the little things are made known to us though each review and your reviews are what i come to first when i am shopping for a new pair of boots. You're reviews are second to none! Here is my quote:

"I have to admit that it is difficult to come up with any negatives for these. For once I am stumped!"

the reason i selected this quote was not only did it apply to the boots it applies to you. I find no negatives in any of your reviews! Please continue with the great work.
    -Phillip Shehan

  82. The one negative I had was with the tongue. http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/03/25/uhlspor

  83. "When I am testing a few pairs of cleats at one time, I tend to leave them sitting in the back of my car, and when my car sits in the sun for a few hours, believe me when I say…you don’t want to be a passenger in my car!"

I chose this quote because I found it fairly funny when I first read it. I know exactly what it feels like, and my friends hate riding in the same car as me when me cleats have been in there for a few days. It just added a nice touch of humor to Brian's technicality that was prominent later in the article about smelly cleats. We all could use a little advice on this topic every once in a while. Thanks Brian

  84. After testing several other speed boots (Nike Superfly and Puma V1.10), there was one question on my mind: “How bad are these going to blister my feet considering how light they are?”
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/06/06/adidas-

I consider his real fun because you just went at them shyly and scared and got yourself i might say onw of the bigges surprises yet……

  85. Nike Mercurial Miracle Review: “There are going to be a lot of people who snub these as a poor man’s boot, I probably would have myself before having the opportunity to test them. After several training sessions and 3 games, I can tell you that they do perform at the highest level.”

I’m in college and like most my age, money is a definite issue. I have been playing soccer at a competitive level and have been looking for ways to enhance my game without blowing the budget. The Miracle’s came to my rescue. At first, I was hesitant to splurge in Nike’s “poor mans boot,” but after reading your review, I grew confident these cleats. They are the X factor I have been searching for and best of all they wont have me spending my months rent for a new pair of cleats.

  86. "Protection is usually the first concern I have when I think of lightweight boots, but with the adiPower Predator it never entered my mind."

i loved the adizero shoes i had but getting stepped on or striking the ball straight on would hurt. love the protection i now get with my adipower preds. i have the white ones and love em.

  87. "What it all means is that if you want the total Ronaldo experience, you will have to fork out big dollars!" http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/07/nike-me

I can haz Ronaldo experience for free?

  88. My favourite quote would be from your review of the Nike Laser III. You were talking about the 'pods' on the side of the boot and said, "Do they distribute pressure? I can’t confirm this, as that seems like more of a scientific question."

I must admit, this line made me laugh. Of course they distribute pressure! Nike said so! And we believe everything Nike says because we are mindless consumers. (slight sarcasm intended….)

  89. "Ultimately, they fit the mold of what a Playmaker needs; something with great comfort and exceptional control that gives the Maestro confidence to create opportunities all over the field."
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/07/16/nike-ct

when I read this, i got a pair of the exact boots a couple weeks later. when it came to game time, this quote was true to its words. 1 goal and 2 assists with these boots and when they ripped, i upgraded to a pair of maestri II's and i'm very happy with how nike kept their interest in the playmaker.

  90. "Overall, it took probably 8 training sessions and some wear around the house before I felt like they were broken in and ready to use in-game."
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/07/nike-me

Some of my friends think I am crazy, when wearing my new cleats around the house. At least there is someone out there who does the same. I am not alone! 🙂

  91. "I can’t offer too many negatives on this boot. The overall design looks good and the on-field performance was excellent. The only area where there might be questions is in durability." http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/12/28/nike-ct

this is my favorite quote because its the one that made me decide to buy the CTR's! at first i thought that the CTR will have a very very bad durability but after trying them out the durability is actually pretty good. this also shows that NIKE always makes a good product for all soccer players. all your reviews are very accurate…
PS: I LOVE YOUR WEBSITE.. really helped me alot… it helped me which boots to buy and get all the cheap deals from your "Steals and Deals" page

  92. ''Compared to the Superfly II, the Miracle offers great value to those who can’t afford to fork out a large sum on new boots.''- http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/04/28/nike-me… – I like this quote because makes feel that you as a profesional soccer player understands the amateur player like me,that dreams of getting the best soccer cleats for free,so we end up buying what is affordable for our budget, but thanks to all the reviews you post we get help chosing the best we can get for its value, confort and darability…..

  93. "What it all means is that if you want the total Ronaldo experience, you will have to fork out big dollars!"
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/07/nike-me

This is my favorite quote because it is simply true! Although Cristiano Ronaldo is not the best soccer player in the world at the time he is my favorite player because of his overall style. I could not possibly afford to purchase these cleats because I'm a college student but if I was the winner of this giveaway, wearing these 'Cristiano Ronaldo Specific' cleats would definitely make me feel extremely confident on the field and destroy defenders!! (They are my size :D)

-Mr. Brian Okazaki, thank you for giving out such awesome cleats!!

  94. Adidas Adipure IV Review:
" I have had them in testing for the past 3 weeks and everything about them oozes quality."

These cleats are amazing and its cool when you say a cleat oozes quality or class because i've seen it on other reviews

  95. "It is tough to find any negatives about these boots…" http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/05/25/nike-va… The quote speaks for itself, i want these boots because their flawless! A little spring in my step that is what i need!

  96. "When I took these out of the box for the first time they blew my mind!" -http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/06/06/adidas-adizero-fg-synthetic-review/

OH they blew MORE than my mind alright…;)

  97. "This is where I felt the V1.10 SL excelled. Since these are designed for speed players, touch and control are going to be the more important attributes needed. And Puma have not disappointed. The upper, although thin, gives great feel on the ball. It also has a slight grip feel that I noticed helped with touch. I have to admit, these are probably one of my favorite boots for dribbling in" (http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/08/19/puma-v1-10-sl-review/).

I found this very cool. i have been debating whether to get the Puma v1.10 sl forever and you showed me the light. I'm not exactly fast but with these cleats i can still use my skills to get by defenders that much easier. Earlier on in the review you pointed out the size difference and you were right. All around you were right that even though they are light they don't affect your dribbling. I just like how you give it to us straight and in the outcome you are always right.

    • Jackyjack8 is the comment i intended but my computer messed up. ignore this one. read that one. i don't know how to delete this comment

  98. "Protection is usually the first concern I have when I think of lightweight boots, but with the adiPower Predator it never entered my mind."

i loved my adizeros until i got my adipowers. absolutely love the power.

I really agreed with this quote because you were right. i was on the fence about getting v1.10 sl and you told me about this and i had to trust you because you are always right. I was weary about getting them because i heard they are like adizeros and the touch is bad but they aren't. they have good touch. i'm not that fast of a person and when you said its meant for speed players i was nervous but i used my good skills and could blow by defenders easier. i know a lot of people with v1.10 and loved them and i did too but wanted a lighter cleat. i love light cleats and cleats that are comfortable and these were both. Your advice has once again been wonderful and i just wanted to tell you how much i liked it and used it. You even put humor into some comments and that adds to the fact that your not some uptight guy who does this just for the heck of it but who enjoys it. i applaud you for actually understanding the products and trying them. i'm a big fan. thanks for all your advice especially this quote.

  100. Alfredo Arreola

".(I say unfortunately because this means we are in store for more crazy colors in the future. I am a fan of more subtle colors)" http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/03/30/nike-me
I LOOOOVE these cleats because, I do prefer subtle but, these cleats have subtle with a little extra PIZZAZ making one in a million! 😀

  101. NIKE VAPOR VII REVIEW!!!!!
You can’t question Nike’s desire to produce boots that are visually effective on the field.Favorite quote because Nike is the best!!!!
ALSO THANKS TO Brian Okazaki for the best giveaway!!!!!!

  102. From the review about Garrett Hartley kicking the game winning field goal for the Saints in the Super Bowl. " But what I find to be most intriguing about the whole thing is the fact that he wore 2 different cleats; a Dominate on his kicking foot (right) and a Create on his standing foot (left)."
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/02/18/new-orl

I liked how the website even reviewed how soccer cleats can help in "American Football" as that is my first love. A classic.

  103. "One of the best ways to improve your game is to simply jump in games wherever you can find them."

Funny thing is, I only rarley "simply jump" in games; its usually not simply at all, but rather calculated and effective, e.g. for a clearing header since I typically play sweeper, although my teammates may beg to differ about the effectiveness 😉

However, when I do play futsal I should often "simply jump" out of the way of my teammates through balls as I am straying forward and often disrupt the attacking flow! LOL

So In several different occasions we can say that to "simply jump" in games may or may not be the best thing for the team or the individual, but all in all, I must say, I fully agree with your initial meaning!

  104. Jason Samuelsen

"Protection. For some players, specifically defenders, protection is a big issue. My opinion is that the V1.10 SL offers the least protection of any boot on the market, particularly around the tongue region. This is something that is pretty much expected from a lightweight boot. If you are a defender, or someone who tackles a lot I would advise looking elsewhere. The second issue with the white/blue design is that they scuff really easily."

Im a defender. Like a lot of protection. Was thinking about getting these but didn't because of this review and the price. Also i can't have my cleats scuffing easily got to look nice for the ladies

  105. " Kick outs will also be easy to drive straight down the field"
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2009/03/06/concave

I found this humerous because who uses the term kickout haha but love the site its revolutionized the soccer cleat experience

  106. "First off, let me just say that I have never been a big Predator fan. Growing up, I was the one who avoided the Predator range, as they always seemed a little too gimmicky for me." from Predator X review
I thought I was the only one who felt this way. Thanks to you Bryan, I don't feel lonesome anymore. And if I were to get these cleats, I would never feel lonesome and I would have a pair of amazing cleats!
    Somewhat Sincerely, Gustavo

  107. "What a release by Adidas!" from Adidas adiPure IV SL review
Pretty amazing shoe in my opinion, combining the top of the line comfort and feel of the adiPure series and the state of the art sprint frame and triangular studs of the adiZero.

Would love to win a pair of Nike Vapor VII Safari to replace my current 15 USD outlet adidas boots (been using these boots since before the first entry of soccercleats101 haha), I'm still a student so no adiPure IV SL for me until I start working.

  108. Well look no further than these outlandish F50i Tiger Design that are listed over on eBay!

Made me laugh that day when I saw it

  109. "I love the Lightning White/Radiant Pink/Cyan colorway that I tested. They would actually go pretty well with something Captain America would wear!"
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/04/13/adidas-

I like this quote because you mentioned Captain America, my hero.

  110. After testing, these will be one of my go to cleats over the next few weeks as I know they offer comfort and I can rely on them to perform well. If you are looking for an all around effective cleat, without having to pay a large fee, then I highly recommend checking out the Umbro Stealth.

I am a collegiate player and i like this quote and the entire review because it convinced me to buy the umbro stealth for its performance, price, reliability and comfort. Thank You Bryan

  111. "Right now, Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best soccer players in the world."
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/07/nike-me

I solemnly swear that this is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

  112. "I am still a little baffled at how companies are producing these super lightweight boots, but they are managing to do a good job at releasing quality boots." http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/08/19/puma-v1

its amazing how they're making lightweight boots with such high performance and quality. I love the feeling of dribbling in them and how fast it makes me feel. this quote got me into lightweight boots and im really glad i did! my performance has become much better and its a delight to play anytime in them!

  113. "The F50i is a great option for players who want a boot they can use on different surfaces. Performance wise, they are top of the range and I have to admit that I was surprised at how comfortable they were on the field. They do feel a little bulky, but they offer protection for players who might think the adizeros are too light"

-My favorite cleat and you did it accurate justice. I'm a defender and I love them.
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/07/03/adidas-

  114. "The F50i is a great option for players who want a boot they can use on different surfaces. Performance wise, they are top of the range and I have to admit that I was surprised at how comfortable they were on the field. They do feel a little bulky, but they offer protection for players who might think the adizeros are too light"

  115. "Preds always suit defenders, and these are no different – protection wise the upper is solid enough to withstand tough tackles. You only have to look at David Beckham to know they are a midfielders boot. And for forwards, they add a completely new option, allowing pacey players an opportunity to wear a boot that falls into the power category!" – http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/11/adidas-

You made we want this boot because they are sooooo versatile and can be for every player. I am extremely pacey but have always been a predator fan and i thought of switching to adizero but this convinced me otherwise!

  116. "They just ooze class" http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/03/07/pantofo
This was about the Pantofola d’Oro's and I chose it as my favorite because it is such a funny but also true way to describe them. My friend bought a pair and I just seeing them up close let me realize how amazingly cool they are.

  117. "There are two negatives that immediately spring to mind with the Superfly III. First off is the soleplate and the difficulties it creates through the break-in period. The same issue occurred with the original Superfly, so it something the Nike needs to address. Second is the price. Why Nike feel the need to give these an astronomical value is beyond me, especially when the Vapor VII offers an all-around higher, more effective, performing boot for around half the price. " http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/07/nike-me

I couldn't agree more. Paying 400 big ones for a pair of shoes is ludicrous! Unless every time I touch the ball it winds up in the opponent's upper 90….which might happen anyway, as I'm so dang good. But why pay for either, when I have a chance to get the Vapor VII's for free? Clearly, this is the winning submission. Please, and Thank You.

  118. "Preds always suit defenders, and these are no different – protection wise the upper is solid enough to withstand tough tackles. You only have to look at David Beckham to know they are a midfielders boot. And for forwards, they add a completely new option, allowing pacey players an opportunity to wear a boot that falls into the power category!"

I like this quote for a few reasons. Firstly, because it shows that the AdiPower appeals to such a vast number of people rather than a small section of the market as it is not designed to suit any specific type of player. But also as it shows adidas have recognised the importance of lightweight boots so this boot really can compete with any boot on the market today. Any position, any player, can wear AdiPower.

  119. Nike has continually delivered high performing boots and matched their follow-up releases with updates to suit evolving player styles.

  120. "I am still in awe at how Nike has developed a boot that can weigh a super light 7.8oz. It almost defies logic, and you really have to hold them in your hand to understand just how light they are!"-
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/04/07/nike-me

I like this qoute becuase your right a lightweight boot that also adds more protection.

  121. "Side by side, the Total90 Laser III looks very similar size wise to the Total90 Laser II"
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/01/10/nike-to

I could select the size of Total 90 III easier because of this sentence hahaha since i had got no chance to try it before, and i used this quote to made a decision about the size.

  122. " Can’t offer too many negatives on this boot. The overall design looks good and the on-field performance was excellent. http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/12/28/nike-ct
I was second guessing my self on these shoes but after reading this wonderful review I went out a bought them. Now everyday I come to this website and look at your new reviews because I know all your reviews will help me.

  123. "I haven’t got around to profiling this latest release in the Adidas adiPower Predator range yet – but they already have a cult following them"
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/26/adidas-

i thought this funny quote was funny since these boots are always getting bought by my friends every time a new one comes out, maybe i should give em a try instead of sticking with the adipures even though i like the classy look to them.

  124. "Anyone headed to train in soccer camps this summer? If so, where and what will you be wearing?"

    Ilove this quote because:
Yes I am, I'm headed to CLEAT's Soccer Academy and Camps in Elk Grove this summer. And what will I be Wearing? I would love to be wearing these cleats!

  125. "Since that time, they have broken into one of the best boots I have worn! Adidas have taken the upper of the adiPure, made it lighter, and mixed it with the lightweight adiZero soleplate to produce a boot that incorporates the best of both worlds!"
I agree 100% because i also think these are the best boots on the market. I always consult Soccercleats101 before buying any cleats and I hope i can get the money for these cleats or win the superflys, my 2nd favorite cleat. Thanks Bryan!

  126. My favorite quote from a SoccerCleats 101 review, was a quote from the CTR 360 Maestri review. It stated that “They fit the mold of what a playmaker needs; something with great comfort and exceptional control that gives the maestro confidence to create opportunities all over the field. This is my favorite quote because it explains the purpose of the boot and it gives alot of detail on the boot so customers can make a educated decision wether to purchase them. This quote is very true also, ive played with them and im a center mid. The CTR’s are very comfortable and the padding on the front of the cleat gives a great touch on the ball. I chose this quote because it helped me with purchasing the best boots that i ever played with, which are the CTR 360 Maestri’s. Thank You SC 101.

    • and also a very special thank you to Brian Okazaki for making it possible for me to be able to own such a great pair of cleats. Hopefully

  127. I love the Lightning White/Radiant Pink/Cyan colorway that I tested. They would actually go pretty well with something Captain America would wear!- http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/04/13/adidas-

when I was looking at the f50 adizero prime review, I was watching my tv at the same time. As I was reading the quote above, a Captain America commercial popped up and I thought it was really weird but it was kinda funny. If Captain America played soccer he would most definitely wear these cleats.

  128. "From their unique old school look to the smell of handcrafted leather, you almost feel like you are entering an0ther era." http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/03/07/pantofo

I found this funny and all too true. That new leather smell is great and getting a pair of shoes that still makes you remember the good ol' times is rare.

  129. Sanjay Derbyshire

"Messi currently wears the Adidas F50 adiZero in the leather version
and they seem to suit his game to a tee. When he runs with the ball,
he glides and the ball always seems to stick to his feet!"

Messi has the ability to do almost everything but it makes me happy
that he chooses to use a high quality boot because for the most part,
the cleat industry resorts to using cheaper synthetic materials that
don't always make a better shoe, and maybe it is because of details
like this that make him stand out even more.

  130. "Negatives…Why Nike feel the need to give these an astronomical value is beyond me, especially when the Vapor VII offers an all-around higher, more effective, performing boot for around half the price." http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/07/nike-me

Once I read this I could only agree. It seems nike has somehow decided that their cleats are worth a lot more than most people would want. After reading this I realized that why go for the $400 Ronaldo experience, when you can go for a boot half the price that is better!

  131. "They are light in your hands and light on your feet!" – http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/06/06/adidas-

I Love This Quote Because The AdiZeros Make It Feel As If You Arent Wearing Any Cleats At All

  132. "Funny story – someone pointed out to me on the SC101 Facebook page yesterday that I currently had 2 pairs of Nike Vapor VII’s and I should give one of the pairs away. Well, after thinking about it for a minute or two, I worked out that he was completely correct!" http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/29/nike-va
LOL that was weird xD I need a new pair school season is about to start and my mom takes care of my whole family and we dont have money.

  133. i personaly like the line of mercurial because it is the line of my favorite player Cristiano Ronaldo not just because i enjoy to watch him play n how he play because of hes shoes they have a round tip that lets you laser the ball even better and are more comfertable than any other type of shoe ik this because my friends all have mercurials and enjoy themn i dont i just have some playn white boots and by winning this giveaway i it wud be my very first mercurials and play with style like myfriends lastly i wud be the first to have the mercria
safaris that i have ben wanting to be my first mercurials, thank you

  134. "It is tough to find any negatives about these boots, they offer an all around competitive mix. Performance wise, they work fantastically well and I can see just why Nike has decided to stick with a pretty identical boot to the Vapor VI. Why fix it if it isn’t broken?"

well said Brian and considering i just tore the sole plate from the upper of my left boot (legends…still not quite sure how it happened) it seems I'm the one in need of a fix…and these vapors are looking pretty sexy if you know what mean……

  135. Nike has crafted these boots to the exact specifications of Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the world’s greatest players and a star who has mass appeal around the globe. http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/07/nike-me

This quote is my favorite because its nice to know that these, the choice of cleats Ronaldo wears are specifically made to give the best of his performance an top of a fashionable look. I too have a explosive speed and with the lightweight of this design i would too be able to push it to the max

  136. Quote from Nike CTR360 Maestri II Elite Review
"One area where Nike have really excelled in the past few years is delivering boots tailored to specific players on the pitch, and the new CTR360 Maestri II again fits the playmaker mold. You only have to take a look at the players wearing these (Cesc Fabregas, Landon Donovan, Andres Iniesta) to see exactly what type of player they are designed for."

Love these boots, once they were released almost all top midfielders wore them. It made it so much more obvious to get these cleats. They are great all around. If i win the Safari's i would probably trade them for maestri's elites (that's how great they are). =D

  137. In terms of player position, it is difficult to pick out just one!

  138. In terms of player position, it is difficult to pick out just one !http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/11/adidas-adipower-predator-review/ it shows how versatile the adidas adipower predators are.

  139. I really love this website and I come here almost everyday or at least whenever I have the chance! Thank you Brian for being such an accurate and generous boot tester.
    My favorite quote would be…

"They offer pretty much the complete package for any player who fits the playmaker mold, or any player that aspires to be a playmaker. But the best thing about the boot is how they suit nearly every player on the field."
    http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/12/28/nike-ct

b/c the CTR360 Maestri II would be my next choice of cleats after my adizero's wear out. After trying them on at a store, I have realized that light weight isn't everything for a soccer cleat and comfort is the best option.

  140. Adan Apolo Juarez

" For comparison, if you add the weight of the left and right Prime, it comes in at a very similar weight to one Adidas adiPure IV boot – and I consider the adiPure to be decently light at 9.8oz! " This was by far my favorite quote because It gave me an idea , a dream , a vision. Well since I have both the AdiZero primes and AdiPures i thought "hmm maybe I can wear two adizero primes on one foot & ill have myself some AdiPures". Then I can use the extra Adipure as a cup holder or to hold my popcorn during those nail biting semi final Champions league games ! Great site by the way.

  141. "The ball seems to rebound with additional power when you strike, and it absorbs some of the impact so that your foot doesn’t have to!"http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/11/adidas-adipower-predator-review/

own them and you speak of all truths

  142. Rather than being a full review of the Nike Vapor VII, this post highlights the Safari pattern used on the release. Having had an opportunity to test them, I found that they perform in the very same fashion as the recently reviewed Vapor VII, and I recommend checking out that review as a reference for what you can expect. In the same fashion as the Superfly III Safari, Nike has gone with a Black-on-Black pattern on these boots that has a very effective on-field look.

The reason I chose this was because your telling us straight on that its the same asthe other safaris

  143. "Everything about the upper of the boot screams class and heritage, while the very minimalist soleplate adds a modern spin to the overall look."
    -AdiPure IV SL

I just think these are the finest boots since sliced bread! Has that ever been said?…in rhyme?

Nevertheless, I do not have them, but I would love to wear them! Not that I wouldn't love the Nike Vapor. I've never worn Nike in a match boot. I'm sure I could score a match winner with both! Hell, I'll score a match winner in my oldie but goodie Gazelles! Slippy or not! ;oP

  144. "I also had an opportunity to test these out in wet conditions (we have had many rainy days here in LA recently!) and the results were very positive. Traction on the surface was never an issue, with twisting and turning not causing any problems. "

I chose this quote because I always wanted a pair of these cleats. Living in LA County experienced some rainy days and while I was trying out for a college team, this review came out. This just reminded me of the good times I had when I played.

  145. Scott Rodriguez

“(Oh, and the guy to thank for the giveaway would be Brian Okazaki!)”

Thanks to this guy, now I have a chance to up my swag on the field!

  146. "Black is the theme on the upper and Nike have taken away most of the white trim. The sole adds a real pop to the cleat, although the only one that will really notice is the defender you leave trailing behind you!"- http://www.soccercleats101.com/2010/01/25/nike-ti

This quotation is worthy of praise because it presents confidence. Any player playing for any team or any sport needs confidence to overcome an opponent and this statement clearly reflects that confidence which should encourage all athletes to try their best in order to do their best and overcome that opponent.

  147. Blahh im 2 lazzy to do this -_-

  148. "When I think of power boots, the first that comes to mind is the Adidas predator." http://www.soccercleats101.com/2011/06/11/adidas-

I like this one because the new predators basically define power, and they are really great!

  149. That’s right, I stole them from myself and hid them in LA!

This was a comment that i found to be very hilarious!
