Robbie Keane’s (almost) Perfect LA Galaxy Debut

Keane Galaxy Debut

Ok, so his debut might not have been “perfect”, but Robbie Keane did score the winning goal in his first first MLS goal for the LA Galaxy. I have to be honest and say I am not an avid Galaxy fan, but being Irish, I am a huge Robbie Keane fan and was excited to see him score the winner tonight.

Keane wore his trusted Nike T90 Laser III in his debut, and continued to wear the Metallic Blue colorway, like he did during preseason at Spurs. The T90 range is designed for power, and having tested both the regular and Elite version, I can confirm that they serve their intended purpose! The addition of five ‘pods’ that sit right along the strike zone help even out pressure distribution on ball contact. Added to that are the Engineered Microfins, that are designed to deliver an increased level of friction when you contact the ball to create more swerve.

I actually met up with Robbie at his press conference/introduction on Friday and had the opportunity to snap the first Irish x Irish picture, as per the image below. I do expect/hope to get a one-on-one chat in the next few weeks, to discuss footwear and maybe even some details on the upcoming T90 Laser IV release. Stay tuned for more details!
