Puma PowerCat 1.12 Munich Edition

Puma PowerCat Munich

The Puma PWR-CT 1.12 has gone limited edition! Well, not completely – just this new colorway that provides a twist on the ranges original release. This version, which is aptly named the Puma PowerCat 1.12 Munich, hits the market in conjunction with the upcoming Champions League final, which will be held at the Allianz Arena in Munich. Well played Puma, well played!

The design on this one definitely holds a refined look, with a checkered blue and white pattern sitting stylishly from the midfoot back through the heel. It is inspired by the fact that Munich is the capital of the German state of Bavaria, with the region’s flag featuring a blue-and-white checkered pattern. The Puma cat that sits on the side of the boot has also undergone an upgrade, coming in a very flashy gold color. Overall, it is a stylish look that is befitting of its limited edition title.

Puma PWR-CT 1.12 Munich

Having tested the PowerCat 1.12 recently, I encountered no major problems other than some scuffing on the white upper. The major talking point of the release lies along the strike zone, where you will find Puma’s newly innovated PST, or Power Shooting Technology. It is comprised of two separate regions of TPU, both featuring different densities and serving opposite functions. In terms of sizing, the one company I regularly encounter issues with is Puma – but they seem to have got these spot on! Length wise, they are absolutely true to size and make for a perfect fit.

Being that they are a limited edition release, the Munich Edition is going to retail at a slightly higher price point, hitting the market around the $250 mark. Those interested in securing a pair will need to move quick on this one!
