Nike Vapor VIII in Retro/Total Orange Released

Nike Vapor VIII Retro Blue

The latest Nike Vapor VIII colorway has been released, with a very eccentric look matching the flare of the boot itself. Listed as a Retro/Total Orange/Challenge Red, this is the type of boot that will be pretty easy to spot on field. Out the entire range thus far, this is definitely the most in your face.

Interestingly, this colorway might actually look familiar to those of you with a sharp eye. Back in March, a very similar looking boot was released in the Glide series, but it was listed as a Turquoise Blue/Bright Mango and it was also advertised as a Women’s release. You have to wonder if it was mis-listed or if in fact both colorways were slightly different.

In terms of retail, the Vapor comes it at $219.99. Check out the entire Retro/Total Orange range that has been released.

There are several key differences between the Vapor VII and VIII release, all of which we covered comprehensively in our Vapor 8 release post. Where the Vapor VII was seen as a boot that lacked a killer edge, the Vapor VIII is seen as a revival of previous Vapor releases, a sort of enigma of its former self. From the suede upper to new stud configuration, it is a boot built on innovative ideas.

All of the changes are geared toward a lighter, more explosive boot that delivers optimal traction. A 2-blade heel design coupled with a suede microfiber upper create an unmistakeably new experience for players.

  1. all the pros that are wearing this colorway got a reinforced toe area, and its on the SG-pro version as well

  2. Awesome colorway, though I really love the "retro" color and wish Nike would use it more often.

  3. I noticed they put "ACC" on the tongue, so I'm guessing it's treated with the same coating as on the CTR360? Wonder if there's a noticable difference in touch between this one and the normal upper ones.

  4. they look lovely

  5. I actually like this eye catching colour 🙂

  6. I got the indoor version to where everyday but i got the victories. They pop out compared to all my friends.
