Checking Out Fila (Yes, I said Fila!)

Fila Soccer Boots

As always, we are eager to bring you details on as many boots as we can on the market. Well, after some reader feedback, we decided it was time to highlight some Fila boots. Now, I am sure there are many of you out there who had no idea Fila even made soccer cleats, but they actually have been on the market for several years. Currently, they have 3 different silo’s on the market; the Soundwave, Calcio II and the Forza II.

There really isn’t anything spectacular about this brand and the boots don’t feature any sort of advanced technology. Plus, I can tell you already that they will not have any properties that define them in the same bracket as Nike, Adidas or even Diadora boots. But, they come in at a great price and we all know Fila are well able to produce comfortable shoes (that’s if you have ever worn a pair).

We picked up a pair of Soundwave in the Sea Blue/Black colorway and a pair of Forza II in Black/Chinese Red for testing. Both boots are currently available, along with the Calcio, on Amazon.com for those interested in checking them out.

Check out more images and a video of the boots below.

  1. The only thing I knew about Fila soccer cleats is that at one time (circa 2005) they had some tie dyed cleats in Eurosport that had an MSRP of around $25. Regardless, thanks for consistently reviewing shoes that other sites don't/won't.

  2. The Claudio Reynas of the 90s were a very good boot.

  3. i'D BUY THEM FOR SURE!

  4. While I have no intention buying these any time soon, they look like a decent pair of backup boots. While I have nothing against the top brands (and routinely buy Nike products), I'd rather get smaller brand shoes as backup boots as opposed to similarly priced takedowns. I'm not sure why, but to me, a boot like this just feels classier than a Predito or a Victory.

  5. I had the old kevlar tornado, worn by Juan Sebastian Veron
