Now Reviewing More Take-Down Models!

Mid Tier Boots

One of the most common requests we get from readers is if we can review more take-down, mid-tier, boot models. Well, we have listened to your guys requests and now have 5 of the leading mid-tier boots in testing.

The above image features the Nike Mercurial Veloce and Victory, the Adidas F30 and Absolado LZ as well as the Under Armour Blur III. All of these boots can be found right now at soccer.com.

With so many new boots released on the market and only limited days available to test, we have stuck to the more prominent ranges and for the most part, top-tier. But I realize for most players these boots are just too expensive and the mid-tire models are the ones people want to hear more details about. Things are now in overdrive and I’ve been playing more than ever to give each pair the time the deserve. As well as that, we now have some writers on staff who will be doing their own testing and reviews right here on SoccerCleats101.

  1. The f30 sucks and always will you should do the takedown to the puma king 2013 or the takedown to the 11pro or the take down to the powercat

    • I don't know about that. I have worn previous versions of the F30 with great results. Maybe it doesn't work for you but they might for someone else.

  2. I'd like to see the powercat 2 get a review

    • Yeah, that is something I'd like to see someday. It amazes me how a second tier boot can be so cheap, and was wondering if they offer the performance of a (+/-)$130 boot.

  3. Matthew Vincent

The Absolion might be a better bet considering its the first takedown whereas the Absolado is the next step down, and quite cheap, comparable to the F10 I believe.

  4. I w30as using a Predator LZ and after 3 months the first two cleats at the heel broke off. I paid almost US$190.00 for the boots. So I decided to go for a little less this time and bought a pair of adidas F30. After exactly 1 month and two weeks, the same thing happened. The spikes at the heel are gone for good. I was checking out with some frieinds that have predarors LZ. Absolian, absolado, and the New F30; the spikes at the heel are gone. I want some answers from Adidas.

    • What surface type are you playing on? I know a lot of people who have this problem, regardless of the brand, when they play FG studs on an AG surface.

  5. Puma Power Cat 2?

  6. I been playing in the new Veloce, and I am really impressed. After the first game the upper has lost any kind of stiffness and it is really soft. The last mercurial I used was the WC Vapor, and these are definitely an improvement. And even though they are heavier than my Neo's and Lz's they feel just as light.
