End of Summer Transfer Rumor Mill – miadidas Style!

miadidas Transfer Rumors

The European football season is well under way and with it, the excitement and drama of the Summer transfer window. Players move to new clubs all the time in the modern game, often leaving supporters and fans wary of new signings and their commitment. What better way for professionals to immediately endear themselves to a new club than by turning out in a pair of cleats customized to match their new employer’s crest and colors?

I took to the brilliantly hands-on miadidas to customize some boots for players embroiled in the biggest end of the window transfer rumors!

If you want to try your designing a pair, you can do so at miadidas.com!

Starting with the biggest transfer story of the year, Gareth Bale is heavily linked with an imminent move to Real Madrid. The Welshman’s preferred Adizero F50s will no doubt accompany him to the mainland, and these custom boots would like right at home under the lights Santiago Bernabeu. Los Blanco’s home kit for this season is mainly traditional white, with grey stripes and red-orange detailing along the collar and hem of the sleeves. While inspired by Madrid’s strip, this pair of boots would look good with a wide range of colors.

While Gareth Bale will probably be leaving North London this Summer, one name that has both Andre Villas Boas and Arsene Wenger looking to bring in is none other than Juan Mata. Rumored to be unsettled at Chelsea after the arrival of Jose Mourinho, Mata looks to be a perfect replacement for a certain lanky Welshman. While Mourinho has stated Mata will not be sold, that is unlikely to stop many clubs from lodging a bid, regardless. Here are two versions of the Predator LZ inspired by Tottenham and Arsenal’s crest and colors.

Mata Arsenal or Spurs

Although presently injured, Lukas Podolski has been rumored with a loan to Schalke 04, with the German being behind both Santi Cazorla and Theo Walcott on the pecking order for outside midfield at Arsenal. Podolski has had a decent enough start to life in the Premier League, though he has not hit the form so many of us are used to seeing in international competitions. This blue and white combination on the Adizero F50 would look very classy with the Schalke home kit, and the black SprintFrame does well in contrast.

Moving out of posh Londontown and into the industrious climate of Manchester, we have David Moyes rumored to be interested in acquiring the services of Mesut Ozil. The German international is said to be disillusioned with life in Madrid, upset as much by the rumored salary Gareth Bale will receive upon arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu, as well as the lack of match time he has been given in the first few games of the Spanish league season. I chose black and red detailing as it would look excellent with Manchester United’s kit, and a white base on the upper to match his German national team kit as well. This is a classy colorway that I think would sell extremely well if put up for retail.

Another target of David Moyes, this time not-so secret, is Everton fullback Leighton Baines. The speedy defender looks to head the Scot’s transfer priorities alongside fellow Merseysider Marouane Fellaini, with Moyes already having a bid rejected for the pair. Baines is a no nonsense defender with good pace and skill in the attack, as well as a wicked set-piece ability. Many of you will probably notice this colorway is reminiscent of the classic Predator black/red/white colorway, which is what I intended. Not only would this colorway look perfect with United’s kits, but would satisfy old predator wearers who are less than impressed by the LZ’s choice of colors restricted to bright shades.

Moving over to the Blue half of Manchester, we have Manuel Pellegrini desperately searching for a centerback to supplement his current choice of defenders, many of whom are suffering from injury. With Pepe looking to remain in Madrid, Pellegrini  has turned to fellow South American export Martin Demichelis to fix his defensive woes. Although the Argentinean is under contract at Atletico Madrid, Pellegrini has reportedly stated his willingness to reach an amicable agreement with the club to take him away from the Vicente Calderon. Not only does this adiPure 11Pro creation match Manchester City’s powder blue and white home kit, but it also meshes well with Argentina’s home jersey.

Last but not least, we move to Merseyside for our final miadidas creation and transfer rumor. Barcelona looks quite bare in defense, and the Catalan club has made their interest of Liverpool centerback Daniel Agger well-known. Despite Barca coach Gerardo Martino’s insistence that they do not need an additional defender, Agger would be a welcome respite to fans of the blaugrana who are quite fraught whenever Javier Mascherano gets on the ball. Agger’s insistence to wear the second version of the Adizero F50 has been quite interesting to say the least, with the man from Denmark wearing the white/pink/blue colorway against Aston Villa at the weekend. I love the defenders loyalty, and have placed that colorway on the most recent version of the F50, which I think looks amazing. The blue and pink/red would match Barca’s home kit perfectly, and Agger could update his footwear without straying to far from the colorway he seems to so favor.
