Limited Edition Adidas F50 adiZero “Cascadia Cup” Released

Cascadia Cup Adidas F50 adiZero

Check out these exclusive, limited edition Adidas F50 adiZero that have been released to coincide with this weekends Portland Timbers versus Seattle Sounders game, otherwise known as the the Cascadia Cup. This one has the potential to cause a mass frenzy!

Officially listed as a Metallic Gold/Green Zest/Metallic Silver, the design can easily be sported by both clubs and there will be several pairs worn by players of both sides in this weekends game. We are talking a proper Gold upper here with some serious Green detailing, that creates an incredible pop. There is a definite air of sophistication about the look that will have more than just the fans of both teams interested in a pair, although there is also bound to be a few critics as well. They are bold, brash and full of charm. It is almost like the Adidas folks headed out into the Cascade Range and picked a bunch of colors on what they found – “there’s some gold in them there hills!

Fan’s do have the opportunity to picking up a pair of these exclusive boots, but numbers of the highly vivid colorway are very limited and you can only get them from one online store.

The place to find them is on soccer.com, listed for $249.99.

Adidas F50 adiZero Gold Green

We don’t often get limited edition release like this for MLS games, so it simply shows the growth of soccer in the US as well as the fierce rivalry instilled between the Timbers and the Sounders. Both teams have huge followings and if you have ever been to a game at either stadium, you will know how much passion is involved. Releasing a boot just for this game is another enormous step forward and even if I won’t be sporting a pair, I am glad to see their release. It signifies something much bigger than just taste in boots. Kudos to the people that managed to pull this one off, and I’m definitely excited to see more releases like this in the future!

This released version of the boot features a soft galeo calf-leather upper with plenty of stitching through the forefoot. The stitching allows the boot to mold across you foot and create a more individual shape. Everything about them is designed for lightweight speed. They weigh in at a meager 6.1 oz thanks in part to Adidas exclusive SprintFrame solepate, which we currently see on the majority of their silos. It is lightweight and provides solid support right through your foot. Players such as Lionel Messi and Gareth Bale wear a similarly constructed boot.

Again, soccer.com is the place to go if you want to see more of this release.

Make sure to check out the Cascadia Cup this Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 9pm – it is going to be played live on ESPN.

  1. Do this for elclasico or the Manchester derby not the "casdecadia cup"

    • Why? Just because the Cascadia Cup is not as recognized? That's pretty elitist, and I think that these boots ARE a symbol of how popular soccer has already become here in the United States and how fast it continues to grow. I love it. The fact that a company is releasing a pair of boots that really commemorates this great rivalry.

      • Great point Jose! (although for me the colour choice is minging. Blue, white and green are Cascadia colours) I'd only like to add that Adidas has done the Cup a bit of a disservice. It's a three club tourney, and Portland can't win it, currently Seattle are in the drivers seat, but Vancouver who are currently playing Seattle have an outside shot provided they beat Seattle tonight and get a bit of help from Will Johnson and his Timbers on the weekend. Given how the Cascadia Cup works they should have been doing the custom boot from the off, and not for a match between first and last in the tournament.

        • Yes I will concede to that. I agree. I was only responding because I think that people don't give the MLS enough credit. Companies won't release merchandise for leagues or teams that don't have a popular following. As a supporter of the MLS for about six years now, I can honestly say that the MLS is leaps ahead from where it was. From the quality of players and the quality of play. So my argument wasn't so much with the boots themselves as much as the discredit I felt GGMU did to a now MLS rivalry.

      • Plus the MLS is pretty much run by Adidas…

      • It's great that "football" continues to grow in the US. Nevertheless, it's still far behind the old world's competition. You have to admit that.

        • Behind yes, far behind no. The gap is closing faster than what people realize. The MLS may not have the most recognized players, but the quality of the first teams are still there. An example of this would be the World Soccer Challenge. MLS first teams fare very well against the first teams of other European teams. It is the second lineup of players that the MLS teams struggle with.

  2. Are pele trinity3e kangaroo leather better or these leather f50s?
