Which Boots Should I Choose – Answered!

Nitrocharge vs Hypervenom

Adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 vs Nike Hypervenom Phantom

Bryan: Nike Hypervenom Phantom – Adidas has done a great job advertising the Nitrocharge, but the Hypervenom has more to offer in terms of a more natural feeling upper and true performance characteristics.

Kevin: Adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 – The Nitrocharge have been one of the most impressive releases in recent years, the energy technology and the use of mesh along with the HybridTouch make for an excellent pair of boots. They offer great comfort and protection, perfect for a midfielder like myself.

Jim: Adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 – This one is conflicting. Both are in a category of their own, Phantom being agility and Nitrocharge being made for “the engine”. It comes down to the fact that the Phantom seems more like another featherweight speed boot that makes me choose the Nitrocharge over it as the Charge is a breath of fresh air.

Tyler: Adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 – When considering the mold that each of these boots is trying to fit, the Nitrocharge boasts a plethora of hardworking, never-say-die type players that I personally love. Daniele De Rossi, Javi Garcia, Dani Alves, and even Stevie G have all been seen sporting the Nitrocharge, which to me says that it is a boot for the working man.

Colin: Nike Hypervenom Phantom – Two new boot silos from the two biggest companies provides a tough choice, but I’m going with the Hypervenom. As I said earlier the upper of the Hypervenom is something no one else is doing, and the Nitrocharge doesn’t keep up well enough.

Ethan: Adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 –  The Nitrocharge is my pick because of the protection.  It maintains a decent weight while giving true protection.  The thick synthetic leather, energysling, mesh, and heel counter all cushion your foot from hard hits.

Richard: Adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 – It’s possibly the most revolutionary boot on the market today. If there was an award for innovation of the year in football, it’d have my vote.

Final Tally: Nitrocharge 5 – Hypervenom 2

  1. Congrats! Great article!

  2. Having worn both the Tiempo and the adiPure 11 Pro, I have to say that the adiPure 11Pro is a great boot.. I would never compare it to the Tiempo though. I am happy the Tiempo is around because it retains the slightly more classic feel. I like both boots and can't pick one over the other. But I would say the for people wanting a more classic feel, go for the Tiempo. If you want a blend between modern and classic, then go with the adiPure 11Pro.

    • Also, In the Warrior vs. Nike matchup, I would take the Warrior. I have worn both and the Skreamer really surprised me. Plus the customer service at Warrior was second to none, making Nike's look almost un-professional.

  3. I had problems with the stud pressure in the Tiempo's as well, glad to hear I'm not alone on that.

    • Yeah at the front of my right foot was very uncomfortable. The left slightly uncomfortable as well. I was very disappointed with the Tiempo.

  4. How about comparing the Nike Tiempo IV to my son’s favorite boot, the Umbro Speciali 4 Pro HG?

  5. with veloce vs f 30, I would rather buy an old pair of top end shoes.

  6. what shoes should I wear if I am playing on a land with no grass on it????
