Puma evoSPEED 1.2 M – Limited Edition Release

Puma evoSPEED M

Puma has teamed up with the folks at BMW to create a brand new, highly attractive, limited edition speed boot. It comes in the form of the Puma evoSPEED 1.2 M, with an entirely new paint-job and BMW detailing separating it from the pack. Creating limited edition releases like this with motorsport companies is nothing new to Puma and again they don’t disappoint with the end result on this boot.

Inspired by BMW’s legendary M5 car, the new evoSPEED 1.2 M is engineered for hair-blowing speed and unrivaled handling. Both evoSPEED and the M5 have a reputation for being the lightest in their industry, so a partnership like this makes sense for both parties.

By limited edition, there are only 535 pairs of this particular boot available. This number comes from the initial M5 car that was released, as it used a 535i chassis.

For those that want to add a pair to their collection, find them on soccer.com.

The colorway employed is a Tango Red/White/Black, with the Tango Red drifting into a White as it hits the heel of the boot. You have probably noticed that this version features a honeycomb panel overlay design rather than the dimpled pattern found on the regular evoSPEED 1.2. This is actually a 3-D grip pattern intended to offer players a cleaner touch on the ball. Obviously, this will prove even more useful if worn in wet conditions! A signature M on the side of the boot and a BMW logo on the heel gives it that detailed, signature appearance.

Under the hood, everything is as you would expect of the current evoSPEED 1.2 release. with the tongue design and the inner lining of the boot offering a comfortable in-boot feel. Then there is the inclusion of a SpeedTrack system and DuoFlex technology in the soleplate, offering a new type of performance. At 7oz, they are a very formidable boot in the lightweight, speed market.

Again, only 535 pairs are available – head to soccer.com for your pair.

  1. I would immediately laugh at any man who actually wears those on the pitch. These are just as bad as their Ferrari-badged gear….ridiculous….and at 249,99…

    • Agreed, the car badges on a limited edition boot seem a bit silly. I imagine they're mostly for collectors, but even then, I imagine Puma could get much more appeal by doing something similar to a CR7 Vapor or Messi Adizero. Puma has top players like Cesc Fabregas and Falcao and should think about making limited editions of their boots. They would appeal to both players and collectors that way.

      • Bingo…

A Falcao boot would be immense, and a control boot inspire by Cesc would be something to behold, but a M series boot for BMW douchey BMW owners just doesn't do it for me. Celebrate the players, and not the model of car they drive.

  2. Hey Bryan, do you know anything about the new tiempos? I saw a couple of players with a newer design in the UCL today, but haven't seen any announcements from nike or anything

  3. I'm victor trying to figure out were I click to buy a pair my Gmail is [email protected]
