Italy Release 2014 Home and Away Jersey

Italy Home and Away Jersey 2014

This afternoon in Milan, Italy PUMA launched the official home and away kits that the Italian National Team will be wearing in Brazil this summer.

Designed by the heritage of the traditional Italian handcraft industry, the kit features a slim, tight fit (like a skin tight fit that will have players busting out their top muscle poses all over the pitch) and a tailored collar with intricate detailed design elements.

When it comes to performance, the addition of PUMA’s newest football apparel innovation, PWR ACTV, is pivotal. This technology is a first to market use of compression and athletic taping within the garment. It is strategically positioned and allows the garment to provide micro-massages on the skin, while working with the body to help maximize performance and provide a faster energy supply to the muscles.

In case you were wondering, the jersey actually comes with directions on how to get it on and where to place each ACTV tape region along your body. Why? Pretty much because of the tight feel and the tacky, slightly sticky feel along the inside of the jersey compliments of the tape. It comes in a zig-zag pattern and makes for one of the most unique jerseys I have ever put on – seriously, there is nothing like it.

Ultimately, most players who want the game jersey will want to get a size up unless you have a steller 6-pack and the desire to have people see the curvature of your upper body. I think the video above and the images below illustrate it best!

Plus, a bonus unboxing video! Note I posted this right after it arrived and before I put the jersey on for the first time.
