Nike take the Hypervenom II to NikeFootballX

Nike HypervenomX

The NikeFootballX lineup has expanded with the unveiling of a brand new short sided silo, the HypervenomX.

In order to translate Nike’s new Hypervenom II boot into small-sided soccer, the boot is engineered to work with the foot and enable deadly agility. HypervenomX has been designed for attacking players who are deceptive by nature — capable of moves in any direction and usually making the one their opponent least expects.

Nike Flywire is strategically mapped into the upper with additional sipping added in heavy ball-contact areas for enhanced touch. The Flywire is integrated into a responsive loft mesh of varying density levels.

Black HypervenomX

HypervenomX is the first NikeFootballX boot to mix a Flyknit collar with an enhanced mesh upper. HypervenomX also features recycled Nike Grind rubber on high abrasion and drag areas for enhanced durability. Comfort against hard surfaces has also been taken into consideration with Phylon cushioning.

Matched with that MagistaX and MercurialX, these boots complete the current NikeFootballX family. NikeFootballX merges Nike’s pinnacle boot technology with design elements unique to small-sided football. The “X” in NikeFootballX is a nod to the combined number of players in a game of five-a-side.

Nike Black Street HypervenomX

For those that want a pair now, they are set to debut in two colorways – the original Hypervenom II Wolf Grey and a brand new, sure to extremely popular, Black “Street”. Both boots will be available in indoor court (IC) and turf (TF) versions with outsoles that cater not only to the relevant surface, but the underfoot play and touches prevalent in small-sided football.

  1. I am happy that top versions of Nike's cleats are available for indoor models. I get so tired of only being able to choose from the indoor F10, or Mercurial Veloce, I want the f50 and Vapor!!

That being said, I still dont see much of a difference in the Magista, Vapor, Hypervenom, they look like the same shaped boot with different texture on the upper.

    • I can see where you are coming from – they seem similar because they all feature the same midcut collar and sole. But everything in between is different. Think of it this way; if they didn't feature the mid cut collar, what would each boot have on offer? It is the visual appearance that makes them seem so similar, but they all offer something different performance wise!

  2. Hey Bryan, How do you feel about wearing cleats with TF soleplate on outside Artificial Grass?

  3. My son is determined to use his birthday money on these boots. He intends to wear them around as well as for futsol. Do you think they are durable and can hold up for everyday wear? Thanks so much!
