Over the past few weeks, adidas has released us to individual styles in their latest Red Limit Collection. Each boot offers its own unique set of performance characteristics and general design features. it is part of a new marketing strategy by adidas, where they look to create an entire range (including indoor and off-street shoes) under one umbrella. The goal is make things a little less complicated and easier to follow for fans, ensuring they have signature looks that transcend from pitch to lifestyle.

We’ve secured pairs of each top-tier FG boot release – the on-pitch area – in order to do a quick feature, so you know what you can expect should you be looking to secure one.

adidas Red Limit PUREAGILITY

Messi16+ Pureagility

The signature boot of Lionel Messi takes on a perfect winter (or Christmas) look with a blast of snow placed around the bottom layer of the upper. Coupled with the crisp red upper, it provides an unmistakable look. The reason they earn the agility tag lies in the soleplate and stud configuration. adidas has designed them to be very dynamic, ideal to quick cuts and turns. Exactly what you’d expect from a Messi boot. These do feature laces, that you can tuck in under the front cover once the they are tied.

adidas Red Limit PURECHAOS

X16+ Purechaos

Adidas add a red covering to the highly defined Purechaos upper, giving it a 3D appearance. One of the key visual features comes via the PureCut collar, where red and white cris-cross designed create a matrix style effect. In terms of performance, they are very effective. The upper is plenty soft, ensuring you have excellent feel on the ball. These do feature laces, that you can tuck in under the front cover once the they are tied.

adidas Red Limit PURECONTROL

Ace17+ Purecontrol

If you are in need of a laceless boot, they the Purecontrol is the way to go! Black across the forefoot offers some sort of classic feel, with reflective panels on the 3-stripe adding to the futuristic nature of the range. The upper on these boots has a unique feel, as it is supple to touch yet highly structured on foot to ensure your foot is secured in place. You will need those front and heel pull tabs to get your feet into the boots – they are designed to be constrictive and do fit very snug!

Copa 17.1

Trying to find a way to really upgrade their heritage offering, adidas created an updated version of the Copa….and they are top class! A traditional style Red/Black and white color combo adds to the initial rollout, blending in perfectly with the other tech heavy boots in the Red Limit collection. Comfort wise, these boots are a dream. And the modified conical stud configuration can easily be worn on FG or AG surfaces.
