Boots To Watch Out For In The Champions League Final

Real Madrid in X18

We are on the eve of the Champions League Final. Liverpool and Real Madrid are set to battle it out tomorrow in Kiev, with some quality match-ups and plenty of goals on the menu.

Since it is a World Cup year, that means more new boots than usual are on show as brands look to get ahead of other. Here we take a look and some boots you need to watch out for when the big match kicks off.

Mane Training in New Balance

New Balance Furon 4.0 – Sadio Mane

This one is pretty huge. Up until last week, Mane had been wearing Nike Mecurials. But, for the biggest game of his career to date he has chosen to make the switch to New Balance and the Furon 4.0, released as part of the Otruska pack.

Engineered for speed, acceleration and accuracy, Furon 4.0 are designed for attackers ‘who finish without mercy’. Using FantomFit technology and Hydraskin touch membrane, with an enlarged clean lace contact zone, Furon 4.0 allows for a clean, precise strike in front of goal.

Trent Alexander in UA Magnetico

Under Armour Magnetico – Trent Alexander-Arnold

Over the past few weeks, Alexander-Arnold has been wearing the UA Magnetico series and that is what he will be wearing once the game kicks off tomorrow. His Black and Metallic colorway are subtle and sophisticated, with an added element of modernism thanks to the nature of the design.

The upper is created using a three layer synthetic with internal auxetic structure that offers a second skin-like fit, plenty of strength and stability throughout. FORMTRUE technology offers the softness of leather, with the durability of a synthetic. This offers a fantastic fit, feel, and responsiveness in every step.

Lots Of Players – adidas X18

Just released yesterday, the X18 series will be worn by a host of Real Madrid and Liverpool stars this weekend. And it is an impressive line-up with the likes of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Marcelo and Mo Salah all set to debut them for the first time.

What makes these new boots so unique is the fact that the X18+ has gone laceless. This now means all three key adidas silo’s are available without laces. It is also gives this the X series a completely different type of performance on-pitch.

Ronaldo Leg in Superfly

Nike Mercurial Superfly CR – Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo will be the only player on the pitch that will have his own signature boots, the Superfly CR Chapter 6. These are the boots released to signify his “Born Leader” position within his club and international career. A fitting boot considering the occasion, if he leader Madrid to another title!

Built using the latest Mercurial Superfly 360 Elite silo, there is an added element of surprise to go with this release. Chapter 6 in the series of seven CR7 boots focuses on Ronaldo’s role as the captain of his national team. As such, the palette of the boot complements Portugal’s traditional colors.

Kroos in 11Pro

adidas 11Pro – Toni Kroos

Has there ever been a more loyal player to their boots that Toni Kroos to the adidas 11Pro? Several years on from their release and he is still sporting the iconic heritage style boot. It is no longer available at retail, but that hasn’t stopped the German midfielder from wearing pairs, sticking to a boot that obviously compliments his game to a Tee.

Ramos in Tiempo Legend

Nike Tiempo Legend – Ramos and Verane

The centerback tandem of Sergio Ramos and Rafael Verane will be sporting the same boots as they look to shutout the incredibly dynamic Liverpool front 3. And with Ramos always good for a goal it could put the Tiempo series in the limelight again.

Released as part of the “Just Do It” pack, this is the Tiempo colorway that will be worn by Nike players at the World Cup this Summer.

Who are we missing from this list that you feel will be a game-changer, and can you name the boots they will be wearing?
