You might have caught my review of the SELECT Brillant Super a few weeks back, well I just spotted this pretty cool video put together by the DMS 11 soccer academy in California (thanks for sending it over Collin.) Great job in putting it together guys, I simply love the fact it highlights many of the really cool hotspots in Los Angeles! What about the MJ look-a-like…..did you have to pay him for his performance? lol.

As an update, I am still using the SELECT ball with both teams I play with and I am gradually learning how popular this ball actually is. Everyone seems to use SELECT balls, something I was completely unaware of before testing. The ball is holding up fantastically well and is continually the first one taken out of the bag by my teammates!

Frank Lampard Talks About the Adidas adiPURE III

This is a really cool video of Frank Lampard and the Kit manager at Chelsea, discussing the Adidas adiPURE III and how Lampard goes about wearing them. I had no idea that Lampard only wears a pair of cleats for 2-3 games before changing to a new pair! It is really interesting to find out about life in a professional locker room! Umbro-Bring It On

This is a pretty cool Umbro commercial that was released last year. To me, it reminds me of the passion involved with soccer back home. Umbro has been around since 1910, and are famous for being one of the leading brands in English football. Capello pips Mourinho to manager of the year!

Ok, so it is part of the Setanta Sports series, but Capello was named Manager of the Year ahead of Jose Mourinho. No doubt the self-proclaimed “Special One” was expecting the title, but the Jocks at Setanta decided he didn’t deserve it this year, giving it instead to Capello-the current English coach. Evidently, Jose is left to wait another year for the title!

The Sophisticated Nike Tiempo Super Ligera

Another classic cleat that Nike has recently released is the Nike Tiempo Super Ligera. If you have not heard much about this cleat there is a reason, the cleat is designed for the Asian market and the Japanese Bukatsu player. Little marketing has been done in the US or UK.
Crafted from the softest kangaroo leather, the boots contours are designed to mould to your feet the longer you play in them. Weighing in at 25% less than the classic Air Legend, the Super Ligera is the latest and lightest Tiempo boot.
“Light in touch, heavy in class” is how Nike have labelled the cleats. And for anybody looking for a different style cleat, these might be an option worth considering. Check out Nike’s commercial for the cleats, it really labels the cleats as a sophisticated cleat that is made with alot of craft.

Club World Cup and Ronaldo in Citron

The FIFA Club World Cup is taking place in Japan at the moment. Manchester United walked their semi-final game with Gamba Osaka 5-3. Cristiano Ronaldo got on the score sheet while wearing his Nike Mercurial Vapor IV Citron. No doubt he wants a good showing in the International showcase tournament.

Wayne Rooney came on as a late substitute and got on the scoresheet with two goals wearing his Nike Total90 Laser II FG Varsity Red/Metallic Silver/Team Red.
