Earlier today, we were introduced for the first time to the brand new Nike Hypervenom II. Designed to provide next level performance to players who appreciate deadly agility, Nike completely upgraded everything about this second generation release and visually, they are pretty spectacular.
Added to all the excitement, for the first time, there will be a women’s Hypervenom II! Yes, Nike are upping their exposure by creating releases specifically for the women’s game. The new Turquoise/Volt colorway will be seen at the Women’s World Cup in Canada this June (along with other boots from the World Cup Pack) on national team players from the United States, England, France and more.
I’m not going to lie, this is a look that I highly approve of and if they were available in men’s sizes, I would be very tempted to snag a pair!
From a performance perspective and to achieve the level of anatomical synergy the team envisioned, Nike Flywire is strategically mapped into Hypervenom II with additional siping added in heavy ball-contact areas for enhanced touch. The Flywire is integrated into a responsive loft mesh of varying density levels, a departure from the uniformly dimpled upper of the original Hypervenom. These were the first of many enhancements developed throughout the design process. Ultimately, every component of the original Hypervenom evolved into something better for Hypervenom II.
There will be two versions of the boot released, a high end and an elite. It is on the elite version that you will find one of the most distinguishing features of this new release – a dynamic mid cut collar. Yes, following along the lines of the Magista and the Superfly, Nike has decided to provide a sense of enhanced fit and support around the ankle line.
Hypervenom II is actually the first Nike Football boot to mix a Flyknit collar with an enhanced mesh upper, complete with NikeSkin and All Conditions Control (ACC).
And for that were following our recent Curious Case of Women’s Soccer Boots discussion, Max Blau, VP of Nike Football Footwear had the following news to share:
We are committed to expanding our offerings to the female player and providing women’s sizes. This is the first, but it will not be the last.
The women’s colorway will be available via the Nike Soccer app in North America on June 2. And once we get release dates from Soccer.com, we will make sure to update!
How many of you would choose these over the wolf grey mens version released? I would!
Agreed, like these a lot.i heard Nike will release them in mens sizes also. Hope they do cause I will buy a pair
So excited that they are finally making girls boots. I’m over buyin youth shots, want done options. #girlpower
can you tell me please if this shoes would send in France?
Any info on how much the width will stretch? I'm assuming the Phinish will fit the same as the Phantom 2. My daughter tried the Phinish on and found the right length but felt it was too snug in the forefoot. She is coming from a Women's Predator LZ which are well worn in already.
