Earlier this week, we shared initial details on the Custom Superfly boots that Nike created exclusively for Carli Lloyd. The response has been pretty pretty impressive, with a lot of you keen to get your hands on a pair in a similar colorway. I’m with you on that one!
Now, we have more images and a pretty cool video interview with Carli herself. Her attitude through her career has been spot on and she has faced adversity head on. Being honored with a custom pair of boots is something many of us would shop our left hand off to experience! For Carli, it is clearly an earned reward for her dedication to the game.
Another pretty cool addition is the timing of each World Cup final goal, listed on the insole. 2:33, 4:49 and 15:03 are placed in gold stars right underfoot. It is a pretty perfect inclusion on what is a highly desired boot!
There will only be 20 additional pairs of the special-edition Mercurials created, each have been autographed by Lloyd and will be up for grabs via the Nike Soccer app, @NikeSoccer on Twitter and Instagram.
