Close Up Look at the Special Edition Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Superfly XXV

Special Edition Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Superfly XXV

Only a few hours since release, the special edition Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Superfly XXV is already close to selling out. Even so, we wanted to take a closer look at the Zoom Mercurial ‘Disruption’ that celebrates 25 years of the game’s fastest speed cleats.

This limited, special edition work of art commemorates a disruptive lineage that dates back to 1998 and the legendary Ronaldo. This cleat has defined a generation and will continue to inspire play into the future. Blended with iconic colors synonymous with the Mercurial line, the stunning silver design amplifies the Zoom Air component, a three-quarter length articulated airbag designed exclusively for the needs of soccer players.

The Mercurial Superfly’s Zoom airbag features flex grooves for flexibility and sits directly inside the soleplate, bringing the foot closer to the field for maximum snappy, propulsive energy return. A redesigned Vaporposite+ upper combines grip-enhancing chevron mesh with a Flyknit lining for better ball control at high speeds. A data-driven “Speed Cage” support system provides lockdown. The Air Zoom Mercurial’s new Tri-Star stud design powers both lateral and downhill movement for faster play in all directions.

If anyone is still looking to find pairs, remaining pairs are unlikely to be available for long.
