Who doesn’t love a boot that takes traditional styling into the modern era? The latest in the new-age style category comes via the Adidas Gloro, a boot fully intended to provide players with an option of incredible quality at an affordable price. It is that much desired area where modern technology meets the unrivaled comfort of kangaroo leather!
Weighing in at 8.4oz. and featuring an ultra classy Core Black/White colorway, the adidas Gloro utilises the latest, most advanced technologies for superior performance while remaining true to the classic styling of its football heritage. Not only do you get an ultra soft K-leather Upper, but these feature the “return of the tongue”, in the form of an elasticated fold-over tongue that wraps under the boot. With a nod to the iconic Predator Mania, the adidas Gloro re-introduces the classic fold-over tongue with elasticated strap first seen in 2002. On the underside, you also get a comfort frame soleplate – similar to what is found on the 11Pro series.

There are obviously a few boots that come to mind when you see these first. The Copa Mundial and 11Pro both offer similarities to this new release, one featuring that same timeless K-Leather upper and the other a more modern construction. But ultimately there is a much bigger game plan with these that sees Adidas deal its hard hitting hand against their biggest arch-rivals, Nike.
It’s sole purpose it to dislodge the highly regarded Nike Premier; a boot that shot to fame only a year ago as Nike looked to take a chunk out of Copa Mundial sales. That plan worked extremely well as the Premier became a firm fan favorite. In return, adidas has created their own masterpiece that is set to satisfy the desires of players in need of an updated Copa Mundial release, and initial reaction has been very positive. There is a lot more to come on this in the coming weeks, as we break down the performance of the Gloro and a comparison to the Premier. Stay tuned for both. Added to the current available Gloro line-up, you can find a White/Core Black colorway.
