The King is back, the return of a remastered classic, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what these have on offer! Over the past few years, Puma has focused its attention on the ONE and FUTURE silos, taking a more modern approach to the market. Here lies a boot that will immediately draw a connection with traditionalists, fans of heritage styling, and boots that offer a no-nonsense level of performance. Welcome in the PUMA King Platinum.
What is extra special about this 2019 release is that they celebrate the 1968 edition, the year in which the PUMA KING was first launched. And in order to accurately re-engineer and pay true respect in the correct fashion, PUMA took on board valuable firsthand feedback from Thierry Henry, one of the most gifted players of his era.

The PUMA KING has been the football boot of choice for some of the greatest players in the history of the sport and Sunday League legends across the world. Sharing his experience on the product development, Henry said:
“I was able to share my experience as a player with the PUMA Football design team when developing the updated PUMA KING. The boot has more than 50 years of history and is renowned for its use of premium materials and style. We applied the same formula in updating this iconic shoe, focusing on craftsmanship and technical performance to meet the needs of the modern footballer.”
The PUMA KING Platinum updates the original KING design applying the latest in football performance technology. The Smooth, premium K-Leather boot upper remains and is enhanced with a 3D ‘touch’ texture for added control. Fit is improved with a snug fitting knitted tongue, and the ultra-modern slim silhouette combined with the super lightweight ‘RAPIDSPRINT’ outsole makes it the fastest, lightest KING ever to grace the pitch.
Just released to market, we connected to the one guy who has already been play testing the King Platinum, Cole Walker, and he shared some awesome images of the boots plus positive initial feedback on performance. Stuff that gets us more excited to get our hands on a pair for review!

Just ordered these, I made the switch back to leather about a year ago after several years and many pairs of synthetic boots. Living in Arizona, its dry and hot. Most synthetic uppers Ive tried( hypervenom + adidas) don’t like our hard dry ground and would eventually start to tear somewhere near the toe and soleplate. The tiempo’s ive been wearing have been much more durable and i now can say with confidence that i definitely prefer a soft premiere kangaroo leather over synthetic uppers. Super stoked to try these because i’ve loved my tiempo’s and these look super similar in the silhouette, materials, and tongue but i think the King’s could have a leg up on the sole plate and heal counter. Guess i will have to see. Also interested to see how these fit. My tiempos were too tight in my true size 11.5 so had to get a 12. I also ordered a 12 in these so i’m hoping they aren’t too big and i’ll have to exchange. Please post video review soon!
Let us know how they work out, would love to hear your feedback on them!
Im assuming you haven't regretted your purchase. I certainly haven't regretted mine. These are beautiful puma boots. Probably the best stuff I've ever worn from them.
I want some but I’m not sure on the durability because of the thin leather, do you think they would be durable?
Hi there,
Did you buy these? How was the durability?
I have ordered some but have the same concern.
Cheers,
Nick
These are beautiful! The leather looks and reminds me of the leather V1.06 from back in the day.
I purchased these 3 and a half weeks ago and let me tell you. These are the best kanga boots I have ever purchased. I am a fan of Kangaroo leather boots and pretty much always have been. Over the years I’ve gone through Nike Super Ligera’s, Diadora Brasil’s, King classic’s, Copa’s, Adidas Carnivores, 2008-09 Adipures….but these boots are without a doubt the best feel and fit for a kangaroo boot I have ever worn. The speed is there and the feel is exactly what I like. I really feel like I have the touch that I love with kangaroo but a traction and speed that is up to date compared to other kangaroo models. Long balls are great and taking deeper shots feel more natural with these. I really recommend getting these over any other Kangaroo boot currently in the market.
Do you think ITS better than nike tiempo legend 7. And What posisiotion do you play
