Puma LaLiga Hi-Vis Ball Removed From Games!

La Liga Winter Ball Puma
Here is a wild one from Spain, where the newest hi-vis Puma LaLiga 1 ball will be “semi-retired” after only 1 weekend in action.

Why? Word on the street is because of design and visibility, with the LaLiga governing body responding to complaints by both those in the stadiums and those watching on TV. The pink Puma La Liga 1 ball, introduced for the winter months this past weekend, has been criticized for being too difficult to follow on pitch.

“LaLiga and Puma want to clarify that the new pink ball, presented last week, has been used in all LaLiga Santander and LaLiga Smartbank stadiums in the latest matchday for the first time since the presentation,” LaLiga said in a statement.“From now on, it will only be used in matches with adverse weather conditions, as was predicted.”

This seems like an odd decision to make so soon after its introduction, but one that saves face inn what could be a potentially damaging situation for Puma. So, you can only expect the ball to return to Spanish pitches when the weather severely affects visibility. We will see how it looks then!

For now, it will be a return to the PUMA La Liga 1 FIFA Quality Pro ball.
