adidas Nemeziz 19.1 Messi; Chameleon or Tech Indigo?

adidas Nemeziz 19.1 Messi Indigo

It is the latest Messi signature release; an extremely vibrant and almost metallic Chameleon version of the adidas Nemeziz 19.1. Well, technically the colorway is listed as a Tech Indigo, but man-oh-man do these bring back fond memories of the original adiZero f50 colorway! That initial release sparked a new wave of lightweight speed boots, and stands as one of the most impactful boot silos we saw introduced across the last decade. It was almost 10 years ago when adidas decide to take lightweight to an entirely new level and completely changed the direction of the market.

Obviously, there will be a lot of readers that don’t remember the original. At the time, it was the introduction of Sprintskin and an internal Sprintframe that allowed the boot to be so light yet durable to wear, with a very comfortable fit as an added bonus. And the colorway was extremely unforgettable. This latest 2019 (soon to be 2020 version) also follow that same forward thinking mantra, with a direct focus on player agility. adidas use a lower cut v-shaped collar that allows for an easier entry into the boot, while the upper utilizes an adaptive construction and Tensiontape to provide an adaptive fit and feel. The Tensiontape wraps all around the foot and offers a barefoot-like touch on the ball.

Look at that design above, up close it is so impactful. You get a sort of old school checkered design between both a chameleon purple and a slightly lighter indigo color pattern. It becomes even more evident on the laces and collar. Personally, I love the look.

Tech wise, there is nothing updated or modified with this release compared to other Nemeziz 19.1 boots currently on the market. So, you are getting the very same boot just with an updated colorway and a slick Messi logo on the inner side of the boot. That isn’t a bad thing, of course, as the Nemeziz 19.1 is a boot that has received plenty of positive reviews since their introduction to the market.

That also translates when you flip the boots over. Underfoot, the Torsionframe supports radical, multidirectional movements without sacrificing stability. And a split soleplate design offers support and traction while keeping some natural freedom underfoot. All designed to cater to one of the best players that has ever played the game!
