adidas is back in the super lightweight game with a new Limited Collection release called the X Speedportal 99 Leather.1.
This is an icon evolved. It was the Adizero 99g that raced to the title of the lightest soccer boot in 2015. It featured a lightweight upper made from a single layer of woven polyester mesh and a 1mm polyamide outsole. Four years later, in 2019, it was the X99.1 that set the market alight. Both of these releases weighed in at 99g or 3.5oz.
