If you are a regular reader of SoccerCleats101, you know that comments are a great way to share and receive feedback on everything soccer cleats. And if you look below, you might have noticed that a new commenting system has just been added to the website. I am continually looking at ways to improve the site and find all your comments and feedback extremely useful, so implementing a new system to make comments and communicating more effective has been high priority.
Some new features include:
- Have Your Own Profile/Avatar – those of you that have a WordPress profile just use that login. For the rest of you, I highly recommend signing up for an Open ID (or check out the site to see if you already have an Open ID!)**UPDATE** I have now added the ability to use Twitter or Facebook.
- Thumbs Up/Down – The ability to give a thumbs up to comments you like, or even thumbs down to those you don’t.
- Threaded Comments – now if you want to reply to a specific comment you can do so through a threaded comment (right underneath that comment rather than at the end.)
- Sort By – you can now sort all comments by “Date”, “Rating” or “Last Activity”!
- Subscribe to Replies – If you want to stay in the loop and know when someone comments on a post, use the Subscribe button located just underneath the comment box!
In my opinion this will be an excellent way for me to get to know the regulars even better, and it helps build your reputation within the community! Feel free to use this post to test or check the comment system out.

Bryan, from reading your reviews I have been a bit confused regarding nomenclature. You say that you typically pass with the "instep", and dribble with the top of your foot. But isn't the top of your foot the instep, and the area you pass with the inside of your foot? It is confusing because I often see/hear people refer to the inside of their foot, or even the "sweet spot" of their foot as the instep, while anatomically the instep is supposed to be the area between your ankle and your toes on the top of your foot. Is there something I am missing?
