This latest Adidas adiPower Predator colorway release is one of those that you will either love or hate! With the success of the adiPower Predator in 2011, Adidas are banking on some new unusual colorways to continue capturing the attention of the market. One thing is for sure, these ones are pretty hard to miss and they make for one of the more unique releases in the series thus far! This version is officially labelled a Slime/Dark Indigo/Super Cyan/White and we have already seen them on field, compliments of Arsenal’s Robin Van Persie. Pick up a pair at Soccer.com.
Mixing a Light Green with a Dark Blue is something we really haven’t seen on releases of late, so props go to Adidas for creating a unique look. But, I don’t see this as a must have colorway and I can’t see them gaining as mass following. They almost feel more like an Autumn release than a Spring time!
The adiPower Predator itself is a pretty fantastic boot and it mimics the qualities we expect from a top line Adidas release. The overall look and performance of the 11th Predator incarnation is very competitive and they offer a great mix of power with a lightweight feel. Adidas has re-engineered the entire Predator Zone in a pretty cool way and now refer to it as the Predator Element. Basically, a silicon rubber is strategically positioned and tuned to create a uniform surface with rebound effect, for those times when you need some extra power behind your shots.
If you decide to pick up a pair, they have a retail price of $200.
