I’m sure you guys are like me when you hear that a new Puma PowerCat Graphic is about to be released on the market. It only means one thing; that a funky, non-traditional, radically designed boot is about to be offered up to fans. And again, that is the case with this latest installment called the Dia del Futbol. The official colorway is listed as a Metallic White/Black/Fluo Pink.
The big feature of this boot is the individual design seen on each boot. Each both features an opposite color scheme. The right boot features a black forefoot, while the left boot is white. and the same is true for the heel region of both. This follows the same contrasting pattern that we saw on the PUMA PowerCat 1.12 Gravity and it just adds to Puma’s collection of fundamentally unstable designs. Because of this contrasting color scheme, the Fluo Pink cat stands out big time and really pronounces itself on this release moreso than any other previous Puma boot.

And then there is that extremely unique text that we associate with the Mexican culture, which sits on the boot. “Dia del Futbol” is placed in several different areas including the lateral side and across the tongue. “Dia del Futbol” is Spanish for “Day of Football” and the premise of this boot goes along with Mexico’s “Dia de Muertes“, or “Day of the Dead”, which falls on November 1st and 2nd.

Adding to all the craziness, you also get a skeletal foot design across the sole, just in case you needed to reference which of your bones were located where.
Ultimately, Puma doesn’t do releases like this to appeal to the masses. They like to be spontaneous and conceptually unique, this boot is only intended for a small scale of the market that like things a little more “out there”.
For those of you who are crazy enough like unique abstract designed boots, you can currently find the PowerCat 1 Graphic “Dia del Futbol” on soccer.com for $179.99.
