Leo Messi is one of if not the best football players to have ever played the beautiful game and if anyone deserves their very own signature series it is the man from Argentina. The new Adidas adiZero F50 Messi boots feature a sleek rainbow color scheme of green, blue, pink, orange and white, along with the iconic adidas three stripes, and combines revolutionary technologies with the precision engineering befitting of a four-time Ballon d’Or winner.
In my mind, this version of the F50 is the most daring, yet visually pleasing model in the series. The base layer is a solid and very clean white, with the signature adidas stripes black and each of the Samba colours strategically splattered on the boot for an eye catching finish. The Messi logo is featured on the heel of the boots and his name is also featured in the tongue.
The key differences from the standard F50 model is the upper is entirely the Hybrid touch material where on the F50 the back quarter featured the new speedfoil, the boots feature the opposite materials when it comes to the tongue where the Messi edition utilities speedfoil and the standard model uses a hybrid touch material for the tongue. Another slight difference is the Dribbletex, with more of it featured on the Messi edition. These subtle differences I’m sure will have a minimum effect on performance.
I personally love the look of these although I’d never choose too wear them, as a defensive minded player who prefers black leather boots I’d look ridiculous. For all you flashy wingers and strikers out there who like a bit of colour though there is no better way to stand out than wearing the new Messi F50.
