It is not often you see a new Tiempo Legend colorway get such a splashy promotional release. But it seems the folks at Nike really want to place a direct emphasis on how eye-cathchingly sharp this latest Tiempo Legend 6 looks. Featuring a Total Crimson upper, these will be part of a new Nike Metal Flash Pack that is set to be released.
As per the video below, there is a direct focus on “Total Touch starts from within”. It makes sense given the performance characteristics of the boot. And when you look at the line-up of players wearing the final top-tier, regular ankle cut boot, things are even more impressive. Jerome Boateng, Sergio Ramos, Hugo Lloris, Ramires, Laurent Koscielny, Dani Carvajal, Raphael Varane and Gerard Pique will all be sporting these over the coming weeks.
We featured a review of the Tiempo 6 a few weeks back, and were left very impressed with the total comfort package. In a wise move, Nike use a leather upper across the forefoot of the boot to provide optimal touch on the ball. This time around, things are left very clean, with only two cross layers of stitching placed along the fold lines of the forefoot. Visually, it looks sharp and from a performance perspective, it improves what the boots have on offer. Underneath, a structural support cage is put in place and this adds a defining feature to the boot. You get a lot more definition thanks to a lattice style construction along the instep and a V like appearance direction down towards the toes. It is subtle enough that you don’t feel it on your foot, yet it definitely provides some extra texture as you get touches on the ball.
