Nike Mercurial Superfly 360 Elite Released

Nike Mercurial Superfly 360

With 20 years of innovation at hand, Nike has made the Mercurial a signature boot-of-choice for the fastest players in the game. Today, they dropped their latest edition that is designed for the perfect fit, while maintaining all of the key features of a Mercurial release. There has been a slight change-up in the naming convention, with these series being labelled the Mercurial Superfly 360 thanks to a wrap around style Flyknit upper that responds effortlessly to your movements.

So, what are the key characteristics of this latest release? Here is what Nike has to say about them.

FIT

When your foot slips within the boot, you compromise speed. The Superfly 360 was designed to eliminate unwanted movement, with Flyknit construction that wraps the entire foot, and a sockliner that interlocks with a new internal structure for maximum response. The shorter-length Dynamic Fit collar also provides comfortable support while leaving the ankle free to move.

TOUCH

Rather than applying Nike All Conditions Control (ACC) as an outer layer, ACC is embedded into the Flyknit—eliminating additional skin, while remaining tough against the elements. Micro-textured Flyknit provides precision ball control at top speed, and an updated swoosh on the toe box features a textured finish for control when sprinting with the ball.

TRACTION

In a Mercurial first, a minimalist underfoot provides traction only where you need it—aggressive acceleration in the forefoot, braking in the heel. The soleplate has been eliminated between the studs in place of foot-hugging Flyknit, for a sensation that the boot disappears on your foot.
