If you have been waiting to find out what the next generation adidas Copa19 is all about, we are starting to get more up close looks. This past weekend it was DC United’s Nick DeLeon that took the heritage inspired silo out for a test drive. We are used to the Copa series providing ultimate comfort and reliable touch via a supple leather upper. That is in play again, but adidas has upped its game on this edition, modifying the upper design with additional definition and creating an elite version that will be laceless. Yes, a LACELESS COPA!!!
So, when are they going to be released? Initially we were hearing late November, but given the fact DeLeon wasn’t wearing a blacked out pair makes it very likely to be right on the horizon. It is almost like they are trying to get people talking about them.
And then there is the introduction of the below PR video featuring Paulo Dybala. He has been wearing a stealth blackout pair over the past few weeks, including the Champions League game vs Man Utd, as he puts them through their paces, while keeping the important details hidden from sight. This latest clip details gives us a better look at what will be the release colorway in the Laceless version.
Not going to lie, the entire Copa19 series is going to be a lot of fun!
Who is ready for the Copa19 to drop? This one definitely features some modern innovation on an ever traditional silo. (plus LACELESS!!!) pic.twitter.com/t9cI79Tg2J
