New Balance Furon v5 Released

After finally nailing performance with their fourth attempt of the Furon, New Balance has just unleashed an upgraded fifth edition. The NB Furon v5 and its Black/Neon Emerald colorway is designed for unstoppable attackers that value speed, acceleration and accuracy.

So what has this latest version of Furon got to offer? It starts up top, where a bonded mesh upper is integrated with a low-profile track collar for ultimate response and natural locked-in feel. The lacing system runs higher on the boot than other traditional styles, increasing striking surface area.

The speed and acceleration part is taken care of underfoot, where a data-driven directional stud pattern enhances ultra-aggressive take-off in tight situations. Added along with that a Fantom Fit full-foot “skeleton” provides targeted lock-down and unrivaled, explosive acceleration.

If you want to see them worn on pitch, Liverpool and Senegal international striker, Sadio Mané, will be the first to wear them. Over the past few months, he has become the poster boy for New Balance, even getting his own custom version. He is set to debut the Furon 5.0 this Saturday vs Crystal Palace at Anfield.
