Mizuno has released a statement boot announcing their reintroduction to the speed boot category. Introducing the lightest ever Morelia, the Neo II Beta, that is limited to just 3500 pairs worldwide.
This is somewhat of a strip-down model of the Morelia with some radical changes, as Mizuno modify their tried and trusted K-leather upper. Instead, this beta version features a much thinner K-leather leather through the forefoot and a fiber weave material through the midfoot and heel. It is a wild change-up but obviously each modified piece was needed to create the 5.9oz end result. This is the first release in the past few years to drop below 6oz, with a very similar look and feel to the Puma evoSPEED SL releases.
The mix of Silver and Gold through the upper is an excellent choice and really gives the release a timeless look. Gold goes on the Runbird and it is speckled through the laces for added dimension. Overall, a really sharp looking boot that is sure to entice fans.
