In recent weeks, we shared some pics of an unknown Under Armour release that had the look of a pretty special release. With some research, we discovered they were released outside of the US, which left us wondering why they hadn’t yet arrived here. They are somewhat of a phantom release!
Well, good news! The UA Clone Magnetico Pro has finally arrived and they have the look of an extremely exciting release.
Check that quilted style stitching through the forefoot, or by its official name the UA Clone upper. It offers visuals of previous glove-like fitting Nike Tiempo releases, only on steroids. It is coupled up with an internal layer of flexible, auxetic material that molds around the foot for a precise, glove-like fit. Under Armour have an innate ability to continually provide comfortable boots, and these look like they will fall right into that same category.
You also get a slightly higher ankle cut, following the current market trend. It will be interesting to see how UA has done in adapting the technology into a comfort style release.
Underfoot, you get an ultra-responsive, Charged Cushioning that footbed absorbs impact & converts it into responsive quickness. While an innovative soleplate provides a lightweight chassis that enhances the foot’s natural ability to accelerate, dart in any direction & flex where necessary.
There is a lot of tech to take in on these. And thankfully, we have a pair on the way for review! I’m actually really excited about these, as visually they seem to tick all the right boxes. Under Armour could have an absolutely classy release that we have heard little about since their introduction.
If you want to get your hands on a pair now, find them at underarmour.com.
