Nike Drop Special Edition Mercurial Superfly CR7 “Safari”

Superfly CR7 Safari Print

Nike bring back Safari Print on the Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7 “Safari” to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Cristiano Ronaldo’s very first signature boot that featured the same print. Back when the Mercurial Vapor Superfly II were released, they immediately created an incredible buzz as fans began to see how creative Nike could get with boot designs.

Safari print, originally introduced on the 1987 Air Safari designed by Tinker Hatfield, debuted on performance football footwear with Ronaldo’s boot in November 2010. The look quickly became an on-pitch classic — its design employed in a unique way and overlaid with a tonal reflective and non-reflective chevron pattern that illuminated in certain light.

The Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7 Safari mirrors the Safari Print Mercurial Vapor Superfly II, but the new edition also incorporates some visual updates; CR7’s famous celebration stance, signature and logo on the sockliner. A special pigment on the Elite style distinctively highlights the chevron pattern of the Mercurial Superfly.

A kids’ edition of the boot keeps the traditional Safari color scheme of white, black and orange, launching in China on May 15th. Helping celebrate Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.’s 10th birthday, the kids boot and limited quantities of the Nike Mercurial Superfly Elite FG CR7 Safari adult version will be release globally June 17, along with an exclusive kids apparel collection.

Again, June 17th is the all important date if you are looking for a pair in the US!
