Following along on the success of the initial Phantom GT FlyEase release, Nike has dropped a fresh new second colorway of the performance enhanced silhouette.
Flyease makes its return in a new Photo Blue colorway, giving players a fresh “easy-entry” footwear option. The system is designed to help athletes put on and secure their shoes—with zero compromise to fit and performance.
This is a case where Nike are listening to fans and players who need easy access to their boots. To get your foot in, you simply pull the strap loose, lower the fold-down heel, slip your foot in, then pull the strap back around your heel to your desired tightness. There is no hard heel, no laces, just an easy way to get your foot into the boot and keep it locked down inside without laces. There are a lot of players that will benefit from this design, for example players that can’t use both hands or have issue in general tying laces.
The technology is placed on the Phantom GT Academy, one of the lower tier or entry level options in the silo. So, they don’t feature all the same advancements you find on the Elite and Pro level versions. But that is what makes these a little more unique – they offer something not found on any other boot and are available at an incredible price point – a very competitive $79.99.
Just like the first version, I expect that these will sell out really fast. If you are looking to secure a pair, they can be found right now at SOCCER.com.
