It feels like this past week has been dominated by Nike posts – so I was pleased to receive the new Adidas adiPure 11Pro SL in the mail for testing today! I’m not sure if it is the K-Leather upper, the classic Adidas colorway or the fact that theses boots weigh in at a super lightweight 6.4oz, but I have been excited to get my hands on a pair since they were released. It has taken a while but better late than never. Recently, I tested the regular adiPure 11Pro version with very positive results, so if they are anything to go by these boots could be a real winner.
The official colorway is listed as a Black/Running White/Core Energy and I am a huge fan of the look. It embodies the traditional colors we expect from an Adidas release, with a very updated modern and sleek design. In terms of the upper, the K-Leather wraps around/through the strike zone and is coated with a highly durable ultra-thin DuraCoating, adding some extra protection and durability.
As an extra bonus, Adidas has added a cavity in the soleplate where a SPEED_CELL chip can be placed – meaning you get the added advantage of miCoach technology should you choose it!
For those interested, they retail for $250, and the box they come in includes some extra comfort insoles and red laces. For the rest of you, stay tuned for a full review in the next few weeks!
