Aspero Classic 2012
Too much going on, creates a rather funky, over complicated upper design.
One of the newest boots on the lit, Aspero are a German brand trying to find their way in the world of boots. One of the issues with their boots is the design. A Nappa leather (commonly used on expensive sofa’s) plays understudy to two different types of technology on the upper. Along the laces, a rubber guide is strategically positioned to improve control, while a rough sandpaper textured paneling is placed along the forefoot. Both seem to have a role to play, but combined with colored lacing, it all looks like a Frankenstein boot. Since this release, Aspero have made some design changes on a newly modified version.
