Arrived in Today – New US Away Jersey 2012

US jersey boxed

An unexpected package arrived at the door today, just before kick-off time in the USA vs Italy match. Inside, was the all new navy US Away Jersey that was just released this morning, accompanied by a really sweet Nike USB chip – not too shabby!

The jersey officially went on sale today and is available for $84.99 at Soccer.com. Check out some additional images of the new kit below.

The design of the away jersey is directly inspired by the popular varsity jackets worn in high school and college with its blue body and white sleeves, while a crossover collar features red, white and blue stripes.

In line with Nike’s commitment to superior athletic performance and lower environmental impact, the fabric of the new kit’s shorts is made with 100% recycled polyester, while the fabric of the shirts is made with at least 96% recycled polyester. Each kit is made using an average of 13 recycled plastic bottles.

The fabric is also up to 23% lighter than the version four years ago. Embedded with Nike Dri-FIT technology, the kits help to regulate players temperatures on the pitch by removing sweat from the body to keep them dry and cool faster than ever before.

  1. niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  2. What a sweet jersey. Love it.

  3. Great looking kit with some beautiful details, but ruined overall by the white sleeves IMO. It just doesn't look right, even in action (the white sleeves makes it look a bit like a cut-off). Hoping the home kit carries the same amount of detail but manages to pull everything together in the overall package better than this one

  4. nice, but my target is the new Holland away jersey!!

  5. what was the USB stick for?

  6. Seriously? I hope they come out with something a lot better for the Home jersey than that. This looks more like a training kit than a match uniform.

  7. Is there something written on the inside of the badge?

  8. Niiice! I just ordered mine. I'm starting to wonder if it will be tight, though. What size is yours? How does it fit?
