Is Adnan Januzaj Switching to Warrior Boots?

Januzaj in Superheat

There seems to be a Belgian “Warrior” revolution going on at the moment, as it now appears Adnan Januzaj is set to join Marouane Felliani and Vincent Kompany as Warrior Sports endorsed players. In his first start under Louis Van Gaal, Januzaj took to the pitch last night wearing a “whiteout” pair of boots, which were actually the speed focused Warrior Superheat S-Lite.

Formally wearing the Nike Mercurial Superfly, this would be a bold move for Januzaj and a super huge coup for Warrior. The American brand has been making plenty of positive strides over the past 12 months, but this would be one of their most progressive to date. There is a lot expected of the extremely tricky and nimble Januzaj and he is sure to be a player who continues to see time in the spotlight – the perfect platform for Warrior to showcase their speed boots.

This is not a done deal yet and there is sure to be a lot more going on behind the scenes, and at this stage he could simply be testing out the boots in order to see how they perform in action, and I doubt Nike will just let him go without a proper fight.

This whiteout colorway is not available, but the Superheat silo can be found at soccer.com – and they are currently listed at a hugely discounted price!

Januzaj White Warrior Superheat

There is plenty going on with the Superheat, with Warrior using some extreme terminology to explain what the boot has to offer. Pieced together, it makes for a very advanced performing boot, as we experienced through testing.

In summary, it all starts with the upper, where a revolutionary Tri-fusion bonded skin is employed for a clean touch and a speed feel. The extremely lightweight Neoweb (a bonded water resistant upper mesh) moulds to the contours of the foot through wear, making the boot feel like a second skin and providing high comfort and breathability. The second bonded TPU layer balances efficient support with optimum agility, finished off with Organitouch, a super-thin outer film to enhance sensitivity and touch, aiding close ball control while Implanted in the heel, a hidden internal Membrane Heel Shield provides unseen support and protection against unforgiving challenges.

As I said, there is a lot of technical speak going on with the Superheat. Final note, it was a bonus day for Warrior, as Fellaini scored a “Skreamer” wearing his pair of Gambler boots, having come of the bench. Extra exposure for the brand is always going to be a good thing.
