KITS + JERSEYS – Italy Home 2018

Puma Italy 2018 Jersey

Last week, Italy secured a playoff spot as they look to earn a spot at next summer’s World Cup in Russia. In anticipation, PUMA and FIGC revealed a brand new 2018 home Italy kit this week, and we received a replica version in a pretty sweet little presentation kit.

With its new FIGC badge, the shirt is designed to invigorate memories of great Italian sides past with references to the ‘Il Tricolore’ on the sleeve cuffs and under the back of the collar. And using that unforgettable ‘Azzurro’ blue that rekindles memories of the first time any Italian fans pulled on the shirt and watched their heroes play.

The kit we received was the replica version of the 2018 home kit. For most players out there, the replica version is what you are going to want the buy. It fits in a more natural fashion, like a t-shirt sitting away from the body. It is made of 100% Polyester with DryCELL technology to wick sweat away. So, it serves as both a jersey to wear to the stadium and also as a top you can wear to workout. In terms of feel, it is thicker and has a slightly heavier weight than the actual game jersey, which is designed to be lightweight and body tight. From a visual perspective, you can see below how similar the design between both is.

Unless you workout a lot and are the owner of a solid six-pack, the replica jersey is the way to go. But if you decide to go game jersey, what you need to know is that its engineered using PUMA’s highly developed evoKNIT Thermoregulation technology with enhanced moisture management and adaptive cooling system. All that tech helps create the perfect on-pitch body temperature. Combined with its seamless construction, the jersey offers the ultimate in fit and mobility for optimum performance.

Retail wise, the replica version is available for $89.99 while the game version is $149.99.

  1. Hi! Have you tried the replica yet? I own every FIGC replica since 2004 and this 2018 kit seems to fit a full size larger than usual. I have no idea why PUMA would do this. My US “S” fits like a US “M”. Can you verify? So strange that suddenly, this kit would fit differently.
