The latest colorway in the revolutionary laceless adidas Ace 16+ PURECONTROL has been released, this one coming in a Shock Blue/Solar Slime/White. This is the third colorway series in the range to date, and one that could easily be labelled as the best yet. Right across the upper, Shock Blue is added, with the Solar Slime coming through along the forefoot where the material has that perforated appearance.
The ACE 16+ PURECONTROL has been three years in the making, designed to create the cleanest possible strike using a larger surface area to generate greater power and accuracy. The laces have been replaced with three key design features for added stability and increased performance. A knitted upper also locks the foot into the boot and combines with a techfit locking system to create an incredible, sock-like fit.
Available for pre-order from soccer.com.
We have reviewed PURECONTROL with positive results. Slipping your feet into a pair is slightly challenging, something that is intended in order to create an optimal fit. Two pull tabs are included, as well as a shoe horn, to help you squeeze in. In terms of comfort, if you get the right size they are very comfortable, almost like wearing a performance slipper. In order for the fit to really work, adidas use an internal knit cage. This is basically a build in piece of knit material that runs across your midfoot region.
With his recent signature secured, Paul Pogba is the player leading the campaign for this latest colorway. Other players that will wear them include Mesut Ozil, Ivan Rakitic and Oscar. And it has been announced that these will be worn by the above players in both this summer’s major tournaments – the UEFA European 2016 Championships and Copa America.
If the recent Black PURECONTROL is anything to go off, these will likely sell out pretty quickly. For those that want to ssecure a pair of Shock Blue PURECONTROL, they are currently listed for pre-order from Soccer.com.
