adidas Predator Freak+ JNR Boot Review

adidas Predator Freak+ Jnr Review

Hello everyone! Over the past few weeks, I have been testing out the new Adidas Predator Freak+ in the junior model. When I first saw these boots, they looked incredibly spiky. Light green spikes stood up around the tongue area. And the rest of the boot was black with a shades of blue covering it. Where there normally was laces, a dark shade of black fabric covered the tongue, so they are officially a laceless boot.

First, I’d like to talk about the feel. The comfort to this boot was decent. Like most boots, it wasn’t as soft as a slipper, so overall I’d rate them as being pretty average. This boot was for a wide fitting foot, like mine, so that’s why they proved to be comfortable for me. I mostly wore them on grass surfaces, that is where I play my games. But I also got to wear them on artificial grass when I was doing a camp. They felt nice on both surfaces and I didn’t notice anything negative.

Secondly, I’ll talk about how it was to get on. It didn’t take long for me to get them on. I was surprised that they slid on really quickly with only a small push. The opening where your foot goes in seems like it would be too narrow, but that wasn’t the case.

Now the most amazing part of this boot was the strike. Because of the spikes, the strike of this boot is incredible! When I first kicked the ball to the goal with these babies, the ball boomed like a rocket passed the goalkeeper. I like to play striker so this proved to be extra valuable to me. Compared to other boots that I have worn, these were the most fun to strike shots in and I noticed a difference.

After putting on these boots, I tried to put on another boot that I recently wore, the Nike Phantom VSN Jnr. And when I tried to put them on, it was more challenging. So, I definitely think you will find it a lot easier to get the Adidas Predator Freak on than you think.

Summary

Here’s a couple of reasons why I think others will like these boots:

  • They look cool – you won’t believe how many compliments I got while wearing them!
  • The strike is amazing – I’ve scored a lot of goals while wearing them (not kidding!)
  • It’s easier to get them on than most other boots – I’ve had a hard time getting other ones on.
