Moving on from the adiPure III!

Now that the Adidas adiPure IV has hit the market, we are going to see its predecessor the adiPure III go down in price and availability. One of the most common questions I get is whether someone should go for the new version or the old version? Having tested both boots, I can tell you that they are some of the best boots on the market and really don’t differ too much in terms of performance and fit. My advice with the adiPure range is to look for the boot that offers best value for money to you. If you have money to spend, the newest version might be your choice but if you are on a budget the adiPure III is a bargain!

Deciding which design you like best is also going to play a role in your decision, as both releases have very different looks. The adiPure III has a more modern look compared to the old-school adiPure IV. Is off-centered lacing (as seen on the adipure III) or centered lacing (adiPure IV) important?

Either way, both versions of the adiPure offer exceptional quality and value for money. At its highest price, the adiPure III was priced at $139 but you can get a great deal on a pair right now $88, or even better $79 if you currently have Soccer.com’s Goal Club.

If I was making the decision right now, I would go for the adiPure III as the price and value just can’t be beaten! You are getting one of the best boots on the market for an absolute steal. In saying that, if you are looking for the latest release, you are not going to be disappointing by the adiPure IV.

  1. Thanks Bryan that was really helpful!! I've been looking to see if I should get the adipure 3 or 4, ive bee leaning toward the 3 because I love that blue color, but the 4 sounds pretty old school. Quality wise, which do you think is better?

  2. Just to throw in the mix: I hear Adipure SL (Adipure IV upper married to Adizero outsole) is on its way and supposedly available April 1.

If you live where you can play outdoors through winter months and you need a new pair of boots, then by all means go for a new pair (either III or IV depending on how generous you feel). You need what you need and you have to do what you have to do.

Unfortunately, I am snowbound where I am, and outdoor is not really an option until at least mid to late April when the ground becomes sufficiently dry. So I'm biding my time to pounce on Adipure SL.

  3. Thanks for the heads up. Just used the cash I've saved up to order a pair! My first professional level shoes, really looking forward to using them :D.

  4. Thanks Bryan. I got a lot of info before buying the right boots.

Over time they will stretch slightly – but I would still recommend ordering true to size for the best fit.

  6. The leather in the iv seems to be better , they look softer than the iii … in this part, the iv are better or you doesn't feel any difference in the leather?

  7. I don't like the look of the adipure III. I like the IV's better.
