Soccer.com Exchange Process Breakdown

After a recent mishap in buying the wrong size soccer cleat on soccer.com I have finally gotten the opportunity to test out their customer service department in terms of returns and exchanges. This is important especially around Black Friday and Cyber Monday as I’m sure they will be inundated with  lots of returns and exchanges. It is nice to be able to deal with them in confidence.

It is a simple turn around process and the folks at soccer.com make sure to supply you with as much tracking info as possible and even include a return slip with the merchandise. The form is quick and simple to fill out and they even give you the option of exchanging for basically any item that is of equal or lesser value. Though most return issues will best be resolved by getting the refund or exchanging for a different size of the same product.

First off make sure to use the shoefitr app to avoid having the sizing issue in the first place, I was stupid and ignored the suggestion of the app for going a half size up than normal and I went for the regular size anyway. Bad mistake as it turned out to be %100 correct and I had to go through what I thought would have been more of a hassle to get them exchanged for the correct size.

One thing I have to say is be careful opening the package, you can re-use it to return the product so that you don’t have to pay any expense, unless you want to insure the package when you return it. I just taped up the package, stuck on the return slip with the exchange form filled out in the package and brought it to the post office and sent it. They provide a tracking number so you can keep tabs on it. The time it takes to get to the soccer.com headquarters varies but it took about a week for me.

Soccer.com’s two day boot shipping translates over into exchanges as well. I got shipping confirmation on the exchange the day soccer.com received my package and my boots came in two days after. Over all it took around 9 days to get the proper turn around and this was without taking advantage of their more expedient return process. I am now wearing the correct size shoe and I couldn’t be happier with how easy it was to get things straightened out.

The only caution is to not actually wear the boots in game if they feel too small, they will not be exchanged if there are signs of wear. Also they won’t accept things after 30 days. They lay out their rules for returns  very clearly on the website so make sure you read up before you go shipping stuff back. But one thing is for sure, they’ll make sure you get squared away.
