The concept for this article came about when I got strep a few weeks back. The fever coupled with heavy duty medication kinda put my head through a trip. During this time many random thoughts came to my mind. One of them was “What cleats would superheroes wear if they played soccer?”.
The thought interested me enough that I decided to write about it. Here is what I came up with, I picked five superheroes and paired them up with the cleats that I thought they would wear.
Wolverine: Adidas Predator X Black/Yellow
For the aggressive superhero we have a very aggressive boot. The Predator line is well know for the hard hitting appearance of the boot, especially the earlier versions. However the Predator X seems like a more suitable boot for Logan as it isn’t cumbersome like the original. The Wolverine is not just aggressive but agile. They are also pretty durable to boot so they can take a beating. Sad to say they can’t regenerate.

Batman – Pele Trinity 3E
With some of the most advanced materials and designs the Pele Trinity seems like it could have come straight from the Weapons Division at Wayne enterprises. Not only did formula one engineers help design the boot but we also see the most advanced stud configuration thus far. Very much like something Batman would be into. Also the Black colorways would be right up his alley, his very dark alley.

Iron Man – Adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 Custom
Tech wise the Nitocharge (even the name would pair up well with a tech savvy superhero) is the most loaded boot on the market right now. As the adidas have made it the boot for the “Engine” and focused the boot around the idea of energy and protection this boot seems like it would appeal to Tony. However he might want to give it a coat of Hotrod red and gold paint.

Captain America – Puma PowerCat 1.12 White/Ribbon Red/Limoges
With a colorway that screams “America” and with the focus of the boot being power I’m sure the Captain would wear them with pride. There are a few other red, white and blue colorways but only the Puma PowerCat would hold up for Mr. Steve Rogers. The upper is also kangaroo leather which would appeal to his old-school taste.

Deadpool – Nike Vapor IX CR7
A boot befitting the Merc with a mouth, loud and obnoxious. Deadpool is one of the crazies characters in the Marvel universe and his tastes reflect that so it is natural for him to want to wear something like the CR7 IX. Also with the back blades being as sharp as his katanas I’m sure Deadpool himself would approve. Crazy colorway for a crazy character.
