Checking Out the Nike Elastico Pro II

Nike Elastico Pro II

The next pair of shoes from the Nike FC247 collection we managed to get our hands on is the Nike Elastico Pro II and they have heavily impressed in the few opportunities I have had to wear them so far. So much so, that I’ve actually taken to wearing them around as a regular sneaker! The colorway is pretty obscure and devilishly bright but the comfort they possess makes them a highly exciting shoe to wear.

A dynamic green design marks out the Elastico Finale II, which features 39 percent fewer components and is 22 percent lighter than the previous model. If you take a pair in your hands, you will notice just how easily they fold inwards and you can fold them 180 degrees with little resistance. Even the forefoot, which is a synthetic, proves extremely flexible.

The Elastico Finale II also features a breathable perforated upper and heel. You can clearly see the areas where the upper is perforated as Nike has implemented an almost Safari type design along the black areas. Toward the front of the shoe it is extremely breathable as there is no inner material blocking air flow. Toward the heel you have a mesh that adds support, so it is not as effective. Along the front of the shoe, Nike has added a pretty unique toe-cap. Normally, we see companies go with a suede along this area, but Nike has gone with a thicker synthetic and a sandpaper like finish. It definitely adds an increased level of grip on the ball and improves the shoes durability.

The Nike Elastico Pro II is currently available at Soccer.com for $69.99.

One of my favorite parts of the boot is the super soft mesh tongue. It feels extremely soft and really sits flush along the ankle line. Nike also offers a redesigned eyestay to optimize comfort and feel as you tighten the laces up.

One area that has remained unchanged is the flexible outsole, designed for hard-court surfaces. It features a herringbone and dot design to help maximize traction and improve underfoot ball control.
